Very tight fitting and also very chunky hat. I sent mine back and changed for the pro 2. Much better fit and more slimline

Love the skull cap,very comfortable and fits well,BUT very disappointed with poor fit of supplied silk,the size 2 cap really needs a large not medium size. Will be contacting Charles Owen directly.

Best helmet ever! It fits very well and I love to wear it! All my stable Girls love the design and I won't miss it!

I had several bad falls and when replacing my last (also Charles Owen) hat, decided to get the safest I could find and this was it. In terms of skulls, Charles Owen are one of very few brands that fit me as my head is more the velvet hat shape (oval rather than round). This hat is very safe and feels it. I need a hat with vents too so this fits the bill in many respects.Being someone who usually likes plain colours, I surprised myself by choosing the silver (which is properly sparkly!) rather than black. Actually, I'd have loved a navy as I have lots of navy riding clothes and don't like black. Only a small bit of the hat shows under the silk anyway.Anyway, it's a sturdy but lightweight hat, came with free black silk (I specially ordered a Charles Owen vented silk in my chosen colours as well) and fits my other standard velvet silk too. The profile is thicker than the slim J3 I had last, but I'm satisfied nevertheless because it makes me feel so safe.I found I was a size smaller than usual so actually got it cheaper than I was expecting (I think it fell into the 'child' bracket).
