I use this canvas pliers to stretch a 4x4 ft canvases stretched over 2x4s wood frame, works well.

I used the plies to straighten out bent metal legs on a Xmas ornament it worked great seems to b made heavy duty cast it did exactly what I wanted

These work fine. They're too big for stretching small canvases. I wish they had a spot on them to get more leverage. They feel well made, and function fine.

I got these for my Mom for stretching her canvasses I will be doing the work for her though since I am a professional picture framer and I know which tools work best. This way she will have them handy when I do her stretching.

I paint detailed paint-by-number canvases. Many of them come rolled up and include stretcher bars and thumbtacks (which aren't very adequate). With these tools, and a youtube video, I was amazed at how professional my canvas turned out. You also need a staple gun. I'll never have to deal with a third party and wait weeks to get my canvas stretched again.

I had never stretched a canvas and thought this would be useful. I just couldn’t get it to work properly as I was reading and seeing. I got it stretched but not as tight as I wanted. Will try again in the future.

Love the broad grip of the pliers, helps to get extra tension on the canvas without tearing it. The spring tension on the pliers is easy to use and doesn't break like other more expensive pliers because if it's simple design and function. The addition of the staple remover is an added bonus.
