Dragon Ball GT - Season 1

Nothing to do other than be glad I got a copy. It was in good condition and arrived on time.

DB GT perfectly married what I loved about the story and feel of DB with the scale and intensity the DBZ took the franchise to. I feel that the DB GT is the perfect crown to the trifectal series of the three and delivers in every way that it needs to. The story is great, the characters are great, the production values are better than ever, and it continued the story in a way that did not come across as a half-baked way to make money off of the name. As a long-time fan of the series I am well-pleased.

The quality is pretty solid. Audio and video are both very sharp, not much more to say about that. The marathon feature is present, which is great because if you had to use the "Play All" method you would have an extra 20 minutes to watch for intro and outro credits.I don't really know what else to say about the product itself, but the show is great. All in all this season is very slow, GT only just gets going as this season ends.

YEAH! Its Goku, he back but small again and adventurous on planet to planet to find the black star dragon ball. Its digital remaster on 5 Disc including a booklet. The case is awesone with cool design. But its digital remaster with audio Japanese(English Sub), English(5.1), and English TV version(Stereo). Want to watch it why not in marathon mode, yes watch it ongoing without opening and ending interfering your watching experience except for switching disc. Disc include trailer from different anime dub by Funimation.

Yes, compared to Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z this series is not as great. Yes, it has it's inconsistencies. Yes, the soundtrack is dull. However, that does not make this series a bad series. Be grateful we have some more Dragon Ball action to watch! Also don't forget Dragon Ball Z also had it's inconsistencies with the series! Plus, there are plenty of memorable moments, especially Super Saiyan 4. This season does lack in the good stuff, season two has the better things in it, but what is season two without season one? I don't mind GT, it's not DBZ good, but it's still a decent series.Now for the quality of this release! The Green Bricks(GT seasons one and two) are slightly zoomed in, but there's nothing like the Orange Brick(Dragon Ball Z season sets) hack job. The video is remastered, so you sacrifice the arguably annoying Dragon Box grain for some blur. Depends on what you prefer, some like the authentic grainy image. The colors are more pronounced on these brick sets, but again, purists complain that this is not the original image, so it gets back to an issue of preference. This release has good encoding (minimal macroblocking)These Green Brick has all three audio options for the series, English/JPN Music, English/English Music and the Original Japanese Dialogue with optional Subtitles.Cons purists give you that I don't really mind:Redundantly encoded 30i (hard-coded 3:2 pull down)BlurryNo alternate angles.These Green Bricks are your ideal choice if you want a complete set that is easy to find and affordable. You will be missing the JPN Title Cards and the Next Episode Previews, but I don't mind that at all. It's the best GT Funimation release in my opinion!

Who can forget that classic moment where Giro is hit by Pan? Or that time when Trunks thinks he won but then he lost but really he meant to win but really he lost but then the joke is on him because he then wins but he was tricked into believing he won but he really lost. Also, Emperor Pilaf is in this show again. Dude has a rainbow yamaka. 5 out of 5.

Ok I'll admit i have never seen Dragonball GT. So of course I'm excited that they are re-releasing it. I keep reading how bad it is because its so different from Dragonball Z. Truth is, if it was like Dragonball Z, everyone would say it was bad because they didn't change anything. Good, bad or indifferent I will enjoy having it for my collection. The real question is are they going to re-release the lost episodes of GT as well?

Only contained discs 1 thru 4. The 1st DVD is missing.

Lo compré en black Friday junto con las Box 2 ya que estaban a mitad de precio, llegaron en muy buenas condiciones precintadas y todo. Para mi gusto una de las mejores sagas de Dragon Ball, por mucho que "no entre en el Canon" para mi fué una continuación perfecta.

Not so good as Z but quite nice for hardcore fans. The worst are especially the black star dragon ball saga who is totally boring.

Ich habe die DVD bei roundmediaUK für 17,73 € plus 3€ Versand bestellt, gegenüber der deutschen Fassung natürlich ein Traumpreis. Die DVD kam für mich sehr schnell innerhalb von gut 2 Wochen aus den Staaten. Die Verpackung und Verarbeitung fühlt sich wider meiner Erwartungen sehr gut und hochwärtig an, außerdem ist ein cooles kleines Infohäftchen mit dabei, in diesem stehen Infos über die wichtigsten Charaktere und eine kurze Zusammenfassung zu jeder Folge.Nun vom ersten Eindruck zum wichtigen...dem Filmmaterial. (Zum Vergleich nehme ich das deutsche Material welches auf Animax, bzw früher auf RTL 2 gezeigt wurde, nicht die deutsche DVD Box)Die Folgen sind remastered das heißt sie haben eine bessere Qualität als die deutschen Folgen, dies kann ich nur bestätigen. Die Folgen sind trotzdem nur 4:3, das finde ich aber keinen großen negativ Punkt. Sie laufen ohne Probleme auf meiner PS3 Slim. Außerdem sind sie absolut Uncut!!! In Deutschland war die Beschneidung der Serie eine absolute Frechheit, 13 Folgen einfach so weg.Nun noch zu einem anderen Punkt über den sich bestimmt auch viele andere Sorgen machen, die Sprache!Ich (Gymnasium 10. Klasse, 4er Schüler in Englisch) finde es gut zu verstehen und kann dem gesamten Inhalt ohne Probleme folgen. Auch wenn die Stimmen (wie die von Meister Kaio) doch schon ziemlich Gewöhnungsbedürftig sind ist das für die Qualität des Produktes zu verkraften. (Ich persönlich finde die deutschen Stimmen eh so super, dass die synchro noch so gut sein kann aber keine Dragonball Fassung der Welt kommt an die Deutsche ran), wer wissen will wie die Stimmen klingen kann mal auf YouTube rein hören.Alles in Allem kann ich nur zum Kauf Der DVD raten sie kostet sehr viel weniger als die deutsche Fassung, sieht besser aus und die Story ist immer noch gut. Habe mir direkt auch die 2. DVD bei RoundmediaUK bestellt, hoffe diese hat die selbe Qualität und gute und schnelle Lieferung.MfG M.S.P.S. Bei mir war es kein FSK 18 Sonderversand!! Auf eBay wird auf einen solchen hingewiesen, habe mir schon größere Sorgen gemacht, dass die ganze Sache noch kippt, aber hat alles ohne Probleme geklappt!

昨日、アマゾンで注文したドラゴンボールＧＴを見た感想。OPEDがアレンジされていてかっこよかったです。ストーリーも日本版と変わらずそのまま楽しめていました。小雑誌も付いてで、なかなかいいと思いました。ちなみに、メニュー画面で音声切り替えで日本語も選ぶことも可能。あと、話数は１話～３４話まで収録しています。ＤＶＤの枚数は５枚セット。収録時間が７８０分ほどですね。
