Best footstand value on Amazon
This stand is very stable with a nice wide footprint, easy to adjust and at $9.95 is cheaper than the identical version Neewer footstand on Amazon at $12.99. In the photo, the Tetra is on the left and the Neewer is on the right. Save yourself 3 bucks and go with the Tetra on Amazon. I bought the Neewer, the Tetra, and the Hercules FS100B ( I paid $25.61 for the Hercules - YIKES). Take my advise, get the Tetra. The Hercules has nothing worth the extra $15.00. I needed three stands bolted to a piece of plywood at different heights as I constantly move from a tiny Sopranino Uke to soprano, to concert, to tenor to baritone uke and spent too much time adjusting the same very old stand over and over until it broke. Now I just slide the plywood with the 3 stands attached back and forth for the proper height I need. Had I known, I should have just purchased 3 Tetras. It would have cost more than they were worth to return the Neewer and Hercules so I kept and used them.

If you play guitar, you need this ...
If you play guitar in a sitting position, you need one of these. Build quality seems acceptable, holds adjustment even when you pick it up, sturdy enough to support my right foot solidly (when sitting), and I am 6'1" and weigh 250 lbs.The biggest point I'd like to make is using a footrest vice not using one. Once you set your foot on it, it aligns your back and shoulders to a more upright and natural position and increases comfort while playing enormously. Even if you're currently using the "ring" on a bar stool, this makes all the difference. If you're on the fence, go for it - once you try it, you will wish you had starting using one of these sooner!

Ive gotten used to it now so it's all good! Like others have said
Just what I needed, although at it's lowest setting, wass about an inch too tall for me sitting on the edge of my bed. Ive gotten used to it now so it's all good! Like others have said, it's good quality and sturdy construction. I stubbed my toe on it in The night, and quickly wished that hadn't happened! The rubber grip on top is actually riveted on, so that should last a good while. I also used this for when I practice standing up. I rest my foot on it which pushes the bottom of my guitars out so I can see what I'm doing. All in all its a good product and I recommend it. A word of warning, this is made of strong metal, if you're buying this for your son or daughter, show them the dangers of the scissoring action of the legs. I imagine they could do some hurtin to little fingers.

Look no further. A good stool at a great price!
Footstools run the gamut. I have had expensive ones that have folded (literally ) under pressure and cheaper ones that have been good! This item is very nicely constructed as and the foot area is larger than many others I have owned over the past 45 years. The rubber pad is textured with deep grooves so that I do not feel it would be easy to slip off even with wet shoes (but who does that anyway??) I bought two. One stays in my car as I always worry that I will get somewhere and THEN remember my footstool. The other is in a case with the guitar I use for when I am teaching at school. After a few months of regular use, both my stools are showing no signs of wear or any inclinations to failure. A good stool at a great price.

Something I didn't know existed
I haven't played guitar in years, and just started back up. In the past, I practiced on a stool or on a couch but now I'm using my desk chair. I found that I had to stretch my foot so that I can play, but it wasn't comfortable at all. I started using an empty box of cat litter, and then thought... someone must have invented something like this.I did a search for guitar foot rest and found I was not alone in the need to have something to put my foot on while playing. I read a lot of reviews on different products and chose this one for a few reasons. Primariy I saw that it had rivets holding down the pad on top of the foot rest. Some others were just glued in and the reviews said you had to re-glue it periodically. That didn't seem like something I should have to do. I also saw reviewed based on different brands. I'm not a professional muscian so I don't care about the different brands, I just wanted something I could use, that didn't slip and didn't cost $30. I could keep using the box of cat litter if I had to pay that much. I came across this one, and it seemed to fit the requirements. It had multiple heights, the pad was riveted down, and it had rubber pads on the feet so it woudn't slip.I've had this for a few weeks now and I can definitely say it's better than the empty box of cat litter. It doesn't slip and has slots on the bottom for the height adjustment so it doesn't fold down while I'm using it. I went with the second slot and now I don't have cramps while playing the guitar from my desk chair. I'm very happy with this product that I didn't even know existed. I saw several reviews from people who are using this for pedicures, which is fine, but I'm actually using it for playing my guitar and it works great.

Great & affordable foot rest.
I'm really pleased with this foot rest. It's really sturdy and it stays put. It is not flimsy under weight and does not slide around the floor. The foot surface area is large enough to accommodate my foot (men's size 12 shoe) comfortably, and the rubber has good grip. The height adjustment has a pretty wide range. It's relatively lightweight, and folds up nice and flat so you can toss it in your bag or case. This will help your playing posture and instrument position in any style of music, but I'd say it's a must for doing any classical/flamenco playing. It's especially great when when playing something with difficult/strange chords or fingerings as it takes much of the instrument supporting work out of your fret hand and places it into you leg.I recommend this one.Really, you can't pass it up at this price.

The best I ever used in the past 40 years
Excellent, sturdy and stable by virtue of feet extending sidewise. Also latching grooves are deep enough to stop collapsing. The best I ever used in the past 40 years. Well engineered and well produced.

Good, but not the Best.
Somehow I managed to order BOTH this foot rest and the Hercules FS100B Large Foot Rest. So I have the opportunity to really compare them side by side. Both look solidly built and have ample height adjustment, and both look like they would give good service. So no real complaints, but I prefer the Hercules. It has a significantly wider foot plate and makes a very solid foundation for my leg. This one's foot plate is significantly longer, but a lot narrower. If you have long feet, that might be important to you. But even with my small (size 8) feet, I feel like I'm close enough to the edges that I could tip it to one side or lose my footing. I chose the Hercules because it's just more stable, and rated it 5 stars.

Great guitar foot rest!
I had to wait a bit longer for this guitar foot rest, but the wait was well worth it. The device is very sturdy and well made. My biggest concern about this (I've never had a guitar foot rest before) was how sturdy it was going to be. This one is rock solid! A 10!!

Buen soporte :D
Es de buen material, se siente sólido y es de metal. Lo único que no me gusta (en general de los banquillos) es que provocan mucha molestia en la espalda, pero está bien si a ti no te genera molestia, además está a buen precio!

The foot stool is well made and feels sturdy.
I play guitar in the classical position so I bought this to prop up my left foot while playing. I use it in combination with a guitar cushion that sits on my inner leg. Since purchasing the pair I have had no back fatigue or pain and I play for 1 to 2 hours per day. Although there are adjustable positions, I use it in the completely horizontal position. The foot stool is well made and feels sturdy.
