Reading through this book was inspirational on many levels. On the one hand, it's nice to read through so many women's personal stories that normalize my own insecurities and internal struggles. Unfortunately, we put so much pressure on ourselves as women, but this book really helped to challenge those perceptions. Also, I know from my own life I've had several instances where I've either placed unrealistic expectations on myself or given up on a goal because of the barriers/fears associated with the unknown.Witnessing these women overcome obstacles and face their fears in order to live their best/true lives was eye opening. Like, it's okay to be nervous and afraid of change, it's okay to doubt ourselves to a certain extent, but it's not okay to give up, and I really appreciated that message. These women literally used obstacles and barriers as a way to ignite their successes, and it was beautifully executed throughout the book. There were moments when I even felt the women were cheering me on and talking directly to me. One of the most valuable lessons I took away from this book is that when we unite and support one another as women--and as people in general--we can achieve so much. Highly recommended!

These are stories of women who are force of nature going around the world to change themselves, their family's lives and their communities! They are inspirational and fenomenal! They bring another level to the relevance of becoming a change maker and how this is so important to the world today!

What an inspiring read!! As a mother to young children, I often wonder what type of people they will grow up to become. As I see them fight over toys, I wonder what this materialistic society will teach my kids. After reading a particular passage, I'm reminded that I, as a parent, definitely have a huge part to play in making them understand that toys and objects aren't what matters, but being kind and doing something that inspires us, is! I would love to see my children take their place in the world, be kind, helpful and generous people! As we navigate throught life, busy as can be, we often put aside time for open conversation. Maybe, during this time of self isolation and social distancing, homeschooling isn't what's the most important but maybe focusing on discussion, on their thoughts about the virus, their reactions to it. Maybe on how they can bring joy to someone else in quarantine, secluded from the rest of the world, and how they would go about doing that. And as for me, my role is to continue to be as supportive and positive about their ideas, no matter how big or small. So yeah, thank you for the reflection! I was definitely moved by the stories.

This book should be in the house of everyone! I couldn't put it down once I started reading. I read Elena Harder's story and I thought it was so well written, so painful and would probably hit home for a lot of single Mothers. I felt her anguish and her pain. It was truly riveting. Joanne Hughes

Incredibly uplifting stories from women that didn’t give up. I love how each one of them has a different way of tapping into the collective inertia humans have to install positive changes in the world. This book makes you believe in dreams again. It opens a door to endless possibilities: “If they can, I can too…”.Highly recommended if you want to believe in yourself again. I love the Action Steps each author shares with us. There are some real jewels here that can help you transform your life. So many to choose from…You can tell Rosa Mª Kallas story comes from her heart and her determination to be a beacon of positive influence in her beautiful country.I love Cristina Pujol Jensen's way of following the yearnings of her soul by listening to the messages of her body.And Hermian Charles' story is a must read specially today, when we see the terrible horror of racism flaring up to unbelievable degrees.We have so much to learn from all these women. I hope you enjoy every word as much as I did.
