Better than other available products.
This product does fit BMW 5 series - 528i xDrive.Overall, if you’re fed with AC vent mounts, should try this. Previous mounts which I used, blocked AC vent, or either blocked the buttons which I need mostly need. This is perfect for me, as it doesn’t interfere with either.2 problems;1. The tape which is provided with product is not strong enough. It did not stick, so I used a double tape I already had & it worked. Fits perfectly.2. We have to use the phone in portrait mode only. Which is not a problem to me, I use it in portrait mode only, but having an option would be good.

What’s the point?
I ordered this phone mount hoping it would install just like the one I got for my 3 series. That one snapped in and is solid and stable. This item is so disappointing because it won’t firmly snap onto the dash and requires sticky tape to stay in place. I haven’t attempted to use the included tape yet, but based on other reviews, I won’t be happy with the results. The price of this phone mount is ridiculous for something so shoddy. I might return it after all.

May sure the picture matches the car A/C and door lock button on your BMW
The only thing I added was double side tape on the top and bottom of the phone holder. The tape that came on the phone holder wouldn't secure the holder my phone was to heavy.

Good but pricey for what you get.
Overall it's a great fit for my 2013 5 series BMW. The adhesive did not last and I had to upgrade in only a few days of using it. I like how it mounts but there is an annoying rattle from it when a phone is not docked in it.

Great Concept but not as secure as shown in video
I had high hopes that this would be the perfect phone mount. Before removing the tape for the adhesive I clicked it into place to see how it would fit. It was quickly apparent that the piece is off just enough that even with adhesive it won't be secure. The four corner clips are flat and just slide into the vent area but there is nothing for them to really grab onto and click into place. The bottom doesn't reset on the trim so it isn't bracing the main piece. The slightest touch and the entire piece pops off.
