First pair and not my last!
I was scared about ordering my first pair of Chacos without trying them on, but I’m so impressed. These sandals are so cute, durable, and just perfect. I’ve already taken multiple hiking trips in them, multiple bike rides, and river walks too. I have large but narrow feet with curvy arches and these fit great! I do have excess strap that I have to kinda tuck in behind my heel, but overall really awesome!

Really cute sandals!
Takes a minute to adjust the straps according to the width of your feet BUT they're a great fit once you get it, and they look soooooo cute on my feet, and comfort as well. The color looks more of a mustard yellow on the Amazon site (which I love) BUT it's more of a yellow matte color.....subtle yellow, not bright, still a very cute sandal. We'll see how they fare throughout time wearing them (this is my first pair of Chacos and the first day wearing them), I'll keep you posted.I have a slender to average width of feet, but I think you can adjust them for wider feet as well.

Great athletic shoes!
Terrific fit, arch in the right place, foot stays put with 1 finger possible under the straps. And the Dutch lady reviewer is right: start out loose and keep a loose heel, in the course of the day they fit themselves beautifully. I like the buckle on top the highest point of my arched foot. It is secure there and doesn't rub anywhere. Made in Viet Nam. They would have been returned if Made in China, despite their perfection for me. I typed made in USA Chaco sandals and Chaco came up without any word of their being imports. So I will buy these, only one pair, and continue to look for Made In USA items.

So disappointed, can't get them adjusted properly
I've wanted a pair of these for around 16 years since my mom denied me a pair in high-school because they were too expensive. I finally decided to invest in a pair and I'm so mad I did. My boyfriend and I have both spent at least 2 hours trying to get these adjusted right to fit properly. I thought we finally got it right last night but I just got home from wearing them during a shopping trip and my right big toe about lost blood flow while driving home because somehow it got much tighter around my toe and super loose in the ankle strap. I hate how the straps are all connected and pulling one tightens another. It's so frustrating and I've spent way too much time trying to get them right. But after spending so much on them I feel the need to keep trying but I'm extremely mad at the design of these. I guess I was never meant to own a pair. I still have red marks where these somehow tightened themselves in the wrong areas. If you have little patience for stuff that requires alot of work to get right, don't buy these. Perhaps the version with a solid strap throughout is much easier to adjust properly but I will never know. I wish I had bought a much cheaper similar version so I could abandon them and not feel bad. I feel if I could get them just right I would love these, they seem good quality, reasonably comfortable, and durable. I wonder if my problem is normally I'm a 8.5 and they don't run in half sizes so I went with a 9 and they don't sit quite right, but an 8 would be too small. Ugh.

Great long lasting sandal and Size down.
My last pair of Chacos were the X1 and they lasted 15 years with regular wear for 4-5 months a year. Needing a replacement I decided I would try the X2 with the cloud foot bed. These are so comfy to wear. I love them. I got a size 10 because I wear a size 9.5 -10 normally but it was too big. I got the size 9 and they are perfect. I completely remember when I bought my last pair that the salesperson said you actually size down in Chacos. Still true to this day. These sandals are great for going to the river and beach. I can take these for walks and hikes but I wouldn't wear these for moderate to difficult hikes. For years I didn't tighten the strap and that is how I prefer wear them. I have had no issue with the toe loop tightening as some complain about. Overall really comfortable sandal and pleased with the newer cushion cloud foot bed.

Good fit right out of the box
My last Chacos made it 5 years so it was time for a replacement. My last pair had the classic sole but I wanted to try the new cloud sole. I bought the same size as my last pair, size 6, although I generally wear a size 7 in shoes/boots. Fit it perfect (my foot is about 22.5 centimeters heel to toe). I remember a good break-in period with my original Chacos but I don’t feel like I’ve needed to break these in at all. They don’t feel quite as clunky either.

Three stars for cuteness, minus 2 for sheer aggravation
First of all, these shoes are adorable, not at all clunky like so many "sport" sandals. Took them out of the box and loved them, then tried to put them on. While there were diagrams in the box and online showing how to adjust the straps, I got very impatient with all the pushing and pulling and still could not get a comfortable fit. Oddly enough, there is no adjustable buckle, which might have facilitated the process, just a pseudo buckle which was sewn into the back strap of the shoe. Can Chaco figure out a way to make a cute shoe which does not need instructions to put on? I hope so, as not many people I know want to spend 1/2 hour or more to try on a shoe. I did reorder a different Chaco product which actually has an adjustable back strap and which does not have so many moving parts. So I did not give up on the brand, just this particular style.

Replaced promptly
Recieved in apporiate time. But product was defected. There was a toe strap sewn in backwards. I returned the defected pair back promptly and have recieved replacement pair. They were bought as a birthday present for my granddaughter. I havent got to try the replacemant pair on her yet. But Im happy so fair, they have past my visual view but putting them on my granddaughter s feet will tell the test. I will write about her second try withis second replacement pair of Chacos for women size 8wide.
