GREAT slides, work as advertised. Want to try their silver 16" =)
There are basically 2 kinds of project people.... those who have a lot of time, but no money and those who have no time but a lot of money to throw at a project. I am the former and had plenty of time to riddle out the installation of this product. I am not a handyman, but this is my story (insert Law and Order "da da da" here)Project: Replace original 1985 kitchen drawers slidesMy cabinet were built in place, so had some "jank" install features. i.e. drawers had the stain applied after the hardware was attached, the cabinet side rails were used to secure the cabinet mounting wood to the cabinet face-frame.I did not realize it, but I picked the hardest drawer in the kitchen to start, opening width was 7.75", narrower than the width of the drill. Project required the purchased of a right angle drill attachment from the orange big box store $19.99Wanting to ensure the best outcome of this install, the slide sets were kept together as they were packaged. Meaning the slide components were not mixed and matched during install even though they appeared to all be interchangeable.Once I figured out the first drawer with the instructions I made the block-shims to attach the drawer-slides to the drawers and a second set of block-shims to install the cabinet-slide to the cabinet. Kept the orientation of my block-shims the same for all drawers and install went smoothly.A previous reviewer of this product, mentioned that the screws were of poor quality, so I used the original 1985 screws that had attached the previous slides. The front slide screw was loosely attached first to secure the cabinet slide in place. The back "block-shim" was then added and a torpedo level with magnetic bottom was used to double check level, before drilling additional pilot holes.Tightened front cabinet screw (so you can gain access to screw holes behind the slide,) drilled pilot holes for middle and back of slide.Photograph Descriptions01 - Packaging of slides.02 - Before slide replacement.03 - Drawer with original slide removed.04 - Drawer with a light brush of brown paint.05 - Following the install directions, level was used as the straight edge.06 - Attaching the drawer slide to drawer. This first drawer I used the provided screws and it punctured through the drawer. I then began using the screws from the original slides.07 - Preparing the following drawers for touchup paint and slides.08 - Block-Shim that was used to attach drdawer slides09 - Keeping the original slide "pairing" together as shipped10 - Drilling the pilot hole for the first screw with the right angle drill attachment.11 - Hand tools were used to screw in screws.12 - Illustration of cabinet "block-shims" used to attach cabinet slide. Only the first screw is in place at this time.13 - Finished install, drawer one of six.

Good Value but no Soft Close
Good price. Solid drawer slides at probably the best value point. Full extension, but not soft close. I also got the Ravinte black slides in bulk--and although those are a shade higher in price, they are much more worth it to me--with soft close and slightly better build in my opinion. If I'm going through the hassles of retrofitting drawers (which I will hopefully never touch again), I want it to be the whole kit and kaboodle. But if soft close is not what you need or want, these are great.

Solid product
We used these to replace the drawer slides in the outdoor kitchen of our travel trailer. These were easy to install and are a definite upgrade in quality from what Forest River originally used.

Best price for slides
This is the best price for the drawer slides I've found. Nothing fancy, just need it for a set of drawers I was making for my workshop. Can't say much for the screws that came along with it. The heads either strips or break off. It's better than nothing. I will still buy more in the future.

Next Time I Need Drawer Slides, I Won't Be Ordering These
I first want to say that I an experienced DIY weekend carpenter, but not a professional by any means. Also, to be fair, I will point out that these are the first drawer slides I have ever installed. The reason I point these things out is because I think it's possible that these slides might be OK for a very experienced carpenter who has the skill to build drawers and drawer openings that are very precisely the correct widths. If you are not totally confident that your carpentry is ABSOLUTELY square and precise, these slides are going to offer you little to no operational tolerance or forgiveness. If you do install these slides, the first thing you'll want to do is throw out the included installation screws and use some good quality screws instead. The included ones are cheap quality screws made of soft metal. The Phillips head slots will likely strip and become useless, no matter how careful you are. Now, though I don't claim to be an expert or professional craftsman, I'm also not a sloppy carpenter. There might have been 1/8" in variance (at most) in the width of my drawer openings from front to back. I followed the nearly non-existent instructions that accompanied these slides. I also watched several online videos for general installation tips. I made sure the slides (in the cabinet and on the drawers) were installed level from front to back. And once all were installed, I immediately found the slide movement to be very stiff. I verified that my slides were installed level, and remeasured the width of the opening. All seemed good. Then, after testing the drawer action a few more times, on three of the drawers, ball bearings began to fall out of the slides, rolling all over the floor. Upon closer examination I found that the bearings were held in place in the slides by thin, flimsy sheet metal. This goes back to the lack of tolerance/forgiveness in these slides. When all was said and done, I pulled off all of these slides and bought some better quality slides from Home Depot. Then, without making any further alterations to my drawers or cabinet, I installed the new slides and found them all to work extremely well.Personally, I would classify these slides as "light duty" at best. They might be ok for drawers occasionally or rarely used. But I don't think they would hold up well to regular or daily use.
