I have 3 engines with 50 to 1 and only 1 that uses 40 to 1 will it hurt the 40 to one I only use a little?

I think you should be fine using the 40:1 VP product in your three 50:1 engines. It may smoke a little more, but the extra oil in the VP 40:1 won't hurt at all.

Is this a case or 1-qt? The price and shipping weight would lead me to believe it is a cause of ~8, but want to confirm before I purchase.

Do not order it. I did thinking a was a case but it is only a quart. Amazon knows of the problem and issued full credit. Ended up ordering a case thru Home Depot which ships direct from VP Fuel.

What is the shelf life of the 4-stroke product and is it labeled on the can?

Five year shelf life unopened 2 years if opened that’s from their website

can you pour this stuff in a regular gas can for storage?

Yes and you can leave it in the fuel tank for the small engine in for one year and it will crank right up I believe it will last up to two years but today's feel is so poor I would recommend only one year
