Evanovich strikes again!
Janet Evanovich never fails to entertain. There are always humor, sex and fireworks. Nick and Kate are a good team. It is an escape from boredom to read their escapades.

And that’s the name of THAT tune…
Janet Evanovich never fails to satisfy…love her sharp sense of humor. Plenty of action and wit; her characters really come to life

An adventure of the best kind
I liked the fact that the adventure was outrageous, yet very well thought out, even complicated. I enjoy the fore play throughout the book with Nick & Kate. My only dislike was Cosmo, he was funny only to a point, then quite anoying, past being funny. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes , funny spy type stories with a little sex to drive it forward.Besides, I have all of Janet Evanovich 's books & they make laugh!!

Interesting storyline
I am a big fan of Janet Evanovich. "The Big Kahuna" while not as funny as Evanovich's earlier books, this one was OK.

Not my favorite Janet Evanovich book
Something about the writing in this book was not up to the usual expectations that I have for one of Janet Evanvich’s books. The scenes were not as detailed and it seemed as though the characters careened from one scene to the other with no downtime or reasoning behind it. Even the scenes between Nick and Kate seemed stale and more sitcom quality than the usual wittiness.

Disappointing. No consistency with the previous books makes it a confusing read.
If this book were a stand alone, you’d enjoy it for the light romp it is. However, this is not the case.Unfortunately, this book is a huge disappointment to anyone who has previously enjoyed the series. I reread the first 5 books as well as the mini reads and am flabbergasted at how little consistency there is between the books. It’s like the authors didn’t bother to go back and read the source material relying on fading memory. It made for confusing reading.Firstly, one of the main characters was supposed to be on the run from the FBI, and it was supposed to be a secret that he was working with them, at least this is where the last book left off, but then in this book he’s sitting in an FBI office talking about forms and walking around with the agent who was supposed to be catching him. It made no sense. That wasn’t all the inexplicably changed. It took 5 books but the last book left off with the main characters exploring a relationship, and this book had them back where they were 3-4 books ago. Again it’s confusing and all it took was the authors to read the last chapter of the previous book to remember where their characters left off. Sloppy. The supporting characters that make up such a huge part of this series are missing, but then so too is the witty banter and the clever plot. It seems the authors forgot that this is a more a heist book than a detective book. It’s the heist that we love, that sets it apart from the authors other work. The relationships, the banter and the cleverness. This lost a lot of that and just went over the top silly. One can only hope that they ignore this book and go back to basics and look at why we all loved the first 5 books so much. Lee Goldberg was definitely missing this time around.

Janet Evanovich's The Big Kahuna
A Fox and O'Hare gentle thriller. O'Hare is a crook who has been recruited by the FBI instead of being locked up to help then solve crimes. He is being monitored by the Agent who originally caught him. Needless to say there is sizzling chemistry between them. As with all Evanovich books, the sex takes place off the page but only just...It is a fun story that takes place on the sides of mountains in Hawaii and New Zealand. Very much cut from the same sort of gib as the 60's novels by MacLean, Bagley or Lyall, but its from the point of view of an action woman, and the tongue is parked firmy in the cheek.

Sadly, nothing like the earlier books in the series.
Nothing like the previous books in the series. The characerisations are very different, previous excellent characters are missing and where is the con?! The whole premise of this series is that Nick is a master con man. I only kept reading in the vain hope that the con was about to start but it never did. Boring, unimaginative... just very disappointing as I really enjoyed the earlier books.

Oh dear... not good at all
I have loved the other Fox & O'Hare books, but this one is dramatically different. Badly written, with lots of really jarring non-sequiturs and none of the characterisation that makes the other books a really fun read. Buy the others, but avoid this one.

Ok
I am a die hard Evanovich fan but am finding her books less and less funny with each one. This is entertaining in places but not laugh out loud funny.
