Unlike some other locks on the market these ones genuinely provide good function. Others I have seen are stupid easy to pick. These are actually adequate to secure something and can't be opened with a screwdriver like the other ones can.

Perfect replacement for most metal boxs

I bought a truck that had a tool box and the keys were lost by the previous owner. To prevent someone from stealing 2K worth of power tools I bought these and installed them in place of the old ones. Easy bolt on construction just like the old ones. I did have to grind the flat plate that locks it to get it to latch fully but that might be unique to my tool box. Results may vary. Overall it’s a pretty much universal lock that works and may need slight modifications or shaping to get to work in your application. Though that’s with any of these products that aren’t direct manufacturer replacements so I won’t fault these. Only reason I knocked a star is because you sometime need to jiggle the key a bit to get it to insert into the cylinder. With that said it’s a minor inconvenience and it still keeps my belongings secure. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs a replacement and isn’t sure what brand box you have.

Well I thought I had made a great purchase, very easy to install and worked great for week or so. Went to unlock one side of my tool box and the key broke off inside. Now I have a key stuck in my box and I don’t know how I’m going to get it out. Luckily I can still open the other side for now. Just aggravating that I can’t get to my other side right now.
