I love this jar!!! Perfect home for “Stanley” my sourdough starters name!!

They are the Cadillac of jars. I use them for making pickles, kimchi, and lately overnight oats (with Greek yogurt). Great for cereal, which goes stale here in Florida in 2 weeks if you don't eat it - in these jars, it's good as new for 3 - 6 months. I also keep flour and dried beans in them. I have (3) .75 liters, (3) 1.5 liters, (2) 2 liters. They won't leak unless you put the gaskets in the dishwasher. I unknowingly did this, and it leaked, MY bad. But why would you turn kimchi or pickles upside down anyway?!? They still ferment perfectly, and gasket still tight. Also keep in mind, they suggest you replace the gasket if used for fermenting, which I had. I recently bought two 6-packs of gaskets for like $10 here, a good investment to hopefully prevent future issues, but no more dishwasher. Someone here said the metal rusts. I've had a few jars for years, never happened. And I didn't even hand dry them. But if you do hand wash and hand dry (recommended), that will definitely eliminate that possibility. Bottom line, pretty, very sturdy, well-crafted and designed (squarish a huge plus), and most of all... endless and effective utility.

Tight seal, easy to see contents, dishwasher safe (after you've dissembled the wire and the gasket neither of which fares well in the DW). I use these for coffee, grains, cereal, nuts, etc.

The media could not be loaded.  I used this to make my very own sourdough starter. I was able to make my first batch of sourdough starter with ease in this after many failed attempts in other jars. It’s handcrafted in Italy and sits beautifully on my counter.

But too expensive for what it is, imo

I bought one just like this one - Italian, different brand name - over 30 years ago. This one should out last me!

Big enough for a the 10 oz bag of ground coffee that I buy.

Very good quality glass with a secure closing . Large size to store my bulk rolled oats ( or whatever else I would wish to store.. flour would be a good choice as well ). Arrived well packaged and price was decent as well. Happy with my purchase , may buy a second large glass storage jar in future. Thanks Amazon .

O pote é lindo. O vidro é grosso de ótima qualidade. O tamanho é ideal para mantimentos de 1kg, inclusive a boca é grande, dá pra enfiar a mão dentro pra pegar uma medida de xícara de farinha por exemplo. Veda muito bem, excelente para biscoitos e bolachas. Adorei, vou adquirir outros tamanhos. Custo benefício ótimo. Um pote que pode durar por muitos anos.
