Excellent print quality but lacks depth and context.
This photobook unfortunately fails to deliver on its promise to chronicle the evolution of the J12 over its two decade history. There is a very brief opening essay and the rest of the book is just black and white photographs with a heavy emphasis on the new Caliber 12.1 line. The book fails to include photos of Chanel's investments into horology such as the H2129 with the Audemars Piguet movement, the J12 Moonphase, or Rétrograde Mystérieuse Tourbillon. There are photos of the Chromatic and the 365 lines, but these are woefully under-represented. It comes across more as Chanel marketing fluff rather than a curated selection of the evolution of the Chanel J12.
