Pinball in a box
I played WizKids Super-Skill Pinball: 4-Cade with my family and we had a good time. The feedback was, we would play it again for sure.I'm a super fan of physical pinball machines and was skeptical that a board game could capture this, and I'm glad to say, I was wrong as the board game does capture the fun of a pinball machine. The rules are simple and the boards are designed with different skill levels so you can quickly learn by starting with a more simple board. The quality of the game is great as well with a lot of attention to details. Our family enjoyed it and I hope your's will too.

Fun, easy, pinball!
I'm not usually big fan of roll and writes, but I love me some pinball so gave this a shot. It is a lot of fun and I feel it captures the feel and tension of actual pinball as much as it can for a board game. There are decisions to make, risks to take, and points to rake. And you do have to learn the tables like a real modern pinball. When do I use this bonus? When do I risk going into one area over another, knowing I need a 4 for the next roll to keep the ball going? All in all, great game solo, haven't had the opportunity to play with others, but I can definitely see where it would be fun with others too.

Very easy to learn and play
I like pinball and when I saw this game recommended to me, I figured I would give it a whirl despite me having serious doubts a board game could capture the feel of pinball machines. On the whole, I was right. This very much does NOT capture the feel of a pinball machine in the slightest. It has a lot of stuff that mimics scoring and patterns common to pinball games, but on the whole it is very much a different beast of a game. So, since it fails to capture the pinball experience, how does it rank as a board game? Not bad actually. You roll dice, move down to the next level of a board and assign your balls target based on one of the results of a dice rolled (usually marking a point or two for doing so) mark off a box in that zone showing you can't hit it again until a condition is met (usually completing a set), and repeat the process. The bottom zone is your flippers and you need to roll one of the available numbers to bump the ball back up to the top left or right zone depending on the flipper you hit (these also have boxes that don't clear until the next ball is played limiting the amount of times you can flick the ball on any given round). That is the down and dirty way you play, you are trying to chain combos off of random dice rolls, the four tables all have different ways to build up those combos, and you can mitigate some bad rolls using various mechanics like table nudging (but you might tilt doing so). You chase a high score and try to beat your old score if playing solo or the other player's score when playing a versus game. In a two player game, the game takes place at the same time with both players using the same values of the dice rolled to determine how they will react, but given the freedom to choose a different path from the flippers, different areas for when the ball descends to a different zone, and different die faces to play off if you chose, the final score can be drastically different.A typical game lasts about 30 minutes and given that it is pretty much a random book keeping game, I think that time span is about right. Shorter and I would feel cheated out of making combos, longer and it would over stay its welcome. The game isn't hard, it isn't deep, and it isn't complex. The set-up and tear down is pretty much non-existent, the components are solid for what they are. The rules are pretty straight forward. Honestly, it is one of the better simple roll and write games out there, but that is pretty much all you are getting here. A simple roll and write game with a high random factor. If that isn't for you, you will hate the game as there is nothing on offer for you here. If you like roll and write games, this one might be a little limited for what you are used to, but is still very serviceable. If you want to try a roll and write game, this is a pretty good entry point into the genre. If you want a game that mimics pinball, do NOT get this game. All in all, a solid B+ from me. It ain't bad, it ain't great, it is just pretty good. Unfortunately pretty good doesn't hit my table much given my massive collection of board games, so I doubt I will be playing this much outside of a few nights when I want to roll some bones on a mindless solo gaming experience every so often with limited set-up and tear down.

The most thematic roll and write ever?
This is the most thematic roll and write I have ever played. The four table run the gamut from relatively simple to complex. They all have a different feel. The components are great as well. The chromed half dome perfectly replicate a pinball and the boards are quite thick and double sided. The fact that the box includes 4 copies of each table give this game tremendous replay ability. To me this is a must have if you are either a roll and write fan or a pinball fan.

Great roll and write
This is a really fun roll and write game. It is my favorite roll and write, but my family also loves pinball. If you're not familiar with pinball it may be a little hard to grasp some of the nuances of the game; although those nuances are fantastic! Is this a good gift .... Yes, IF that person likes pinball or boardgames.

Super fun roll and write highly recommend. Feels like you're playing pinball super well done
Awesome game. I'm much different roll and write than I ever played. Causes four different pinball tables for up to four players. Realistic feels like you're actually playing a pinball game. The rules are well explained. Although this is not a very complicated game it might be a little heavy for a brand new or young player. rules though it's definitely worth the play. It's still not a very complicated game just a little bit more complicated than the basic Uno or some other game. Highly recommend a play. The four different tables vary and really change strategy and gameplay. The fact that it comes with markers and reusable tables is amazing as well. Highly recommend

Fun solo game
This is an easy-to-learn game with a fun theme. The components are neat (dry-erase boards and tokens that look like pinballs) and the gameplay is clever. The only negatives are that it lasts a little long for what it is, and you are constantly rolling, writing, rolling, writing, etc. so quickly that it felt a little too repetitive. However, as I play more, I will be playing the more advanced tables, so I expect the turns to slow down for more strategic thinking and not feel as repetitive (but with the game potentially getting even longer).Still, for the price, it is definitely worth it, especially for pinball fans.

Excellent solo game.
When you get the hang of it, is one of the best solo games around. This required me to play a couple of games that felt like a chore, as you roll, score (write) and repeat. My first roll and write, so it was odd until I understood the rules. Then, everything becomes very natural in dotting a space or point, and it flows with a constant anticipation with the same kind of randomness you would find on a pinball table.I highly recommend this, but be prepared to hate the first one or two games, and suddenly fall in love with it.

Does a surprisingly decent job of simulating pinball
I was very skeptical that a fast moving physical game like pinball could be imitated using a boardgame with dice... but you know, this game is not at all bad. Once you stumble through learning your first game or two, the action flows quickly. Roll two dice, pick which of two spots you can move the pinball token, see if you scored any points, and repeat. The game is compact and travels very well.I will say that this is really more of a solo game than multiple players, and a game with four players would move much slower. I recommend it, but really only for one player at a time.
