Shattered
Good second story to this series. The characters are really good and make you want to read more about them. Good read.

Great sequel
Love all books by Laurann Dohner. But the last 3 or 4 really need better editing. I like to read kind of fast and grammer and spelling mistakes really annoy me. How hard is it to at least run it through a grammer check program? Other than that, the story was good and the romance was great. Looking forward to Jazz's story.

Fantastic series!
Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Trope: second chanceAngst: 😱😱1\2Smexy: 🔥🔥This is such a fantastic series - I'm really enjoying it! Shattered is fast paced with tons of action and characters you become invested in. I love a childhood sweethearts second chance story and this one definitely delivered. I'm actually even more excited for the next book, which is similar.

Great story. This had me on the edge of my seat! The drama and suspense, mixed with the hot spicy scenes made this a five star read. HEA

Desmon & Amber
This is the second book in the shifter romance series Nightwind Pack by Kele Moon and Laurann Dohner. It can be read as a stand alone title. I personally prefer to read in series order but if there is not a lot of connected information between books in the series then it doesn’t matter. This series is adult themed with plenty of cussing, action/violence, and steamy scenes. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating, and always an HEA. I was Not paid for this honest review.I have a pet peeve when it comes to shifter, alien, cyborg, new species type books. The first book is always the discovery book where you are learning about the customs, traditions, and life style of a new world. The female lead is usually thrust into this world unwilling and ignorant and we go along with her on this incredible journey. The male lead is most likely the alien, cyborg, and/or shifter etc....and he has all the answers and guides the female through this new adventure. Sometimes he uses her ignorance to his advantage to get/take what he wants, sometimes things happen by accident, and sometimes the strong alpha male seduces the lead female (because of strong feelings, love, attraction, destiny, and lust) into a permanent decision that she finds out about after the deed is done. All this makes the book more exciting especially when the female finds out she just married an alien and didn’t know it or is permanently mated to a gorgeous hunk of a shifter. So, here is my problem (sorry it took so long to get here) the second book of these types of series, most of the time, shows the next couple being governed by a bunch of human/earth society rules of courtship and marriage. The female lead now armed with this new culture/civilization/species customs and traditions makes all these demands, won’t commit, won’t give permission for anything, puts limits on interactions, and basically takes me out of the fiction fantasy because this reads more like an everyday normal relationship in the real world. The male lead is no longer an alpha male he follows the female around like a wimp hoping for a scrap of attention, affection, permission and they wait until the last chapter for her to finally snap out of being a cold, frigid, angry, scared, flakey, idiot and agree to all the cool, interesting, dangerous, beautiful, sensual, fun things that make the fantasy fiction awesome in the first place.I am not saying this happens all the time, but it happens a lot. The lead female in this book, Amber, is a bitterly divorced woman going back to her home town when her mom is on her death bed. There was a very sweet prologue in this book showing an intimate connection between the H and the h since they were kids, so I was excited about their reunion as adults, but thats were it fell flat for me. Until you find out all the grim reasons for their separation and Amber will not give an inch to Desmon even after she finds out some things from the past were not his fault. Desmon is the co Alpha of the pack and a very tough guy, but I feel like he gives up to easy and bows down to Ambers every whim. I did not feel the love connection between the couple. All in all I had a hard time finishing this book. It didn’t have a lot of editing issues and it had a lot of action, but it also had a lot of realistic family squabbles and drama that took the fantasy fiction out of this book for me. I am still a loyal Laurann Dohner fan, but I thought the first book in the series was much better. I will cautiously read reviews before buying the next installment. Enjoy!

Great read!!!
I read the first book a while ago and forgot all about this series. Once alerted to the release of the sequel, I purchased it. I was not disappointed! This book was much better than the first. I always appreciate a strong female character. Amber remained strong, even under all the trials she endured in this book. Desmon suffered and endured, even from a distance. This book contains drama, betrayal, action, and passion. I can't wait for Jazz's story coming up next. Please don't let it be 3 years away though!

Such a Good Story, with one issue
The story was awesome as usual. I loved Amber and Des' story. I looked forward to it reading the first Nightwind book. There were a few places where I saw the crisis coming, but I was frequently surprised at the way things went. A shift in how the characters got there, etc.Unfortunately, one thing consistently drew me out of the story. Misspellings, wrong homophones, and using verb forms instead of nouns had me rereading sentences and correcting things in my head.I always give writers some leeway for missed errors, but sometimes the frequency of mistakes (especially words that a spellcheck should catch) distract me too much. Otherwise I'd have given it 5 stars.

An unexpected reconnection
Such a fantastic book two. The authors were able to keep the intensity throughout the entire story and the characters are becoming more and more relatable with each book. I think I’m a little in love with Jazz, and more than a little in love with Miles. The way they support each other is what I think pack is meant to be and it really enriches the story. I can’t wait to read all about this continuing fight to change perceptions and keep the humans safe as the series continues. I really hope Jazz finds his Marcy because it seems like the Goodwins have more hidden than the Nightwinds realize. And it would be amazing if Miles finds the woman that helps him return to his wolf. But no matter what happens next I ahh sure to enjoy it.

Another take on the werewolf theme and lots of strife between the wolf/human understanding. Lots of action and bad weres trying to mess up the good weres.

Cute and thrilling
It's a cute and thrilling story that is kind a comparable to Jason's but that's the same in all the rows working with that 'finding my mate' Storyline. Anyway I somehow really love Books with storylines like that. I also love Lara Adrian's Breed Mate row and Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling. Which both work with the same basic storyline but which are all worlds for their own. Fascinating worlds. But I need to say, I would like to have more explanations to understand the World from Kele Moon and Laurann Doher. There are just some information's to scratch up to understand the world and then not completely understandable. An Example: What do the werewolves mean with bitches if it's not something offensive? Cuz it pretty much is. The explanation that it isn't offensive in their world was a really unpleasuring explanation from Des. Also it seems like they have a really strange view of women which seems to bother the women on one hand but doesn't bother them on the other. Also the thing with the marks weren't explained. They marking women as whores and it sounds like it's a visible mark on the body at some points at others it doesn't. So I would really like if the following books are giving a better view in the world of the werewolfs.

This is another of the fantastic reads from these two amazing authors. Waited a heck of a long time for this second story in the series and it was well worth the wait. Now I am waiting for the next and hope it does not take anywhere near as long. You cannot afford to not follow these authors and sink into their fabulous books. Amazing, thank you for your talents.

Loved it
I loved the story and the characters but I am not surprised that the book was so well written. The author writes books so well in my opinion. I already read the new species series and I can only recommend it.
