The album, which was made with Murphy's regular collaborator Crooked Man, AKA DJ Parrot, follows 2015's 'Hairless Toys' and 2016's 'Take Her Up to Monto', as well as her four-EP project with Maurice Fulton in 2018. Among its ten tracks are previously released singles like 'Narcissus' and 'Murphy's Law'.

Róisín Murphy in 1970's disco-funk success.
Well what a great album, for all Pure pleasure seekers out there . Firstly to say I love RM and like her entire body of work from the mid 90's on. I have all her commercial releases and each one seems to if not improve on the last it certainly evolves and matches her greatest work (My current favs are Hairless Toys, took a while but I love this album, Overpowered and Statues)Anyway back to this album, 10 brilliant "disco-esq" tracks including some that have been previously available, on that subject I would have loved Jacuzzi rollercoaster, Plaything and the stunning All my dreams to complete the package but these songs are available elsewhere at least.Roisin seems to totally get better and better as not only this album but the her "lockdown" performances on YT will attest to. Seriously if you have not seen/heard them go check them out. She is so sensual and just wonderful.Totally recommended for fans of RM and of 70's Disco. I am a total fan of the former, not necessarily of the latter, but she does everything with so much class.

"Just a steel town girl on a Saturday night"
I'm biased , I think Róisín Murphy is a genius. The album flows sensually from one track to another in a glorious homage to classic disco, but strikingly contemporary at the same time.No doubt I'll be buying a deluxe version in a few months, Miss Murphy excels when it comes to remixes.

Perfection just landed...
There is little released currently in this league of absolute quality, probably aside from the splendid Disclosure. If you want it hard, funky, effortlessly cool and disco-centric, you’ll find nothing better than this Machine.‘Incapable’ is probably one of the greatest pop/house tracks ever created and the only criticism I have here is the use of a new edit and not the full-length epic version, that I simply must two-step around my lounge to most days since it’s release last year for fear of losing my f-mind; yep.‘We got together’ is designed to bang us disco-boys out of Brixton next year and well, there’s just not a weak moment on here. It’s so perfect I could weep.Roisin really has saved our locked-down asses!! Thank you Queen Roisin.

Sublime Disco Journey
Has to be heard to be believed, Roisin Murphy has achieved a beautiful experience of old school Disco with a fierce modern edge with this album. The track 'Kingdom of Endz' is simply astounding. Every track is a danceable killer. Cheers Roisin you have truly given us a treat with your new album.

Fantastic
Can't disagree with all the other 5 star reviews. I just love it and have been constantly listening to it, another gem from an under appreciated talent.

Return to funky form. Love it.
Having all the Roisin Murphy and Moloko albums this is a great album returning to the funky/disco sounds of earlier work. the recent albums from Roisin have been slightly more theatrical in composition which have been fine, but thisis a superb album re-visiting some of the funkier upbeat tunes that have appeared older works.I haven't been able to stop playing this.If you are a Roisin Murphy / Moloko fan I can guarantee you will love this album and if you are just about to venture into her work this is a great place to start.
