Parrots enjoy a wide range of foods. Some of the fruits they eat are very high in short chain sugars, while others contain more complex carbohydrates (sugars). These are a natural part of a parrot’s diet. The corn syrup in Nutri-Berries is not sweet because it is made of complex carbohydrates. It is part of the diet because it helps the berries hold their round shape. The round shape helps parrot get the foraging exercise that they need every day.
