Does this interfere with your shield closing completely?

I use it on my HJC RPHA 11 Pro I have press the visor a little bit harder but it closes completely. I'm very happy with it since I didn't want to stick anything to my helmet.

It should. It just connects where the visor flips open

The length of the straps is excessive and it does not stay in place on my helmet. How do I tighten the straps?

I just used some parachute thread to see an overlap to take up slack. Also a piece of 3M double sided tape or velcro to help anchor it to your your helmet
