All Natural Hot Spring Powder (Yunohana)

Are you a bath addict? I am. I love a hot soak for relieving aching muscles and that feeling of tiredness.What to know: this is an all natural product. No fragrances, no artificial colors, no additives. The smell of it is a mix of iron and sulfur, which make up the majority of what's in it that's good for you. So aromatically, you might not find it appealing. The iron in it will also stick to any soap scum that's in your bathtub like those red dye tablets the dentist has you chew to show you where you forgot to brush.But so freakin' what. Get over it.What this does is amazing. In the winter, after a soak in this, which increases your blood circulation like no other bath salt, you will feel warm and relaxed and vibrant for literally hours after you get out of the tub. Hours. The aqueous iron in it really, really helps your circulation in a way you have to feel to believe. The sulfur elements in it soothe dry skin and calm irritation. That's why I say who cares about the smell; that smell is the smell of effective natural healing.There's a reason the Japanese have been going to the Onsen that produces this for centuries now. It is likely the best therapeutic bath you could ever take.

Super relaxing, but not the most pleasing scent.

This product is made at Myoban Onsen near Beppu by exposing a special mud to onsen steam for an extended period. The only other such natural product from Japan that I know of is Tamagawa Onsen yunohana sold through ebay. Most other such products from Japan are artificially made and do not remotely compare with these two products. Tamagawa product is made through a different process: hot spring water is passed through long wooden pathways and yunohana accumulated on the pathway is harvested periodically. Both products are superior for your health and relaxation. They can also alleviate skin problems. I personally like it best when I alternate between these two products. If you enjoy these products, you will benefit much more from actually visiting the two hot springs famous for their medicinal powers. For general health and relaxation, I recommend Beppu/Myoban onsen or Nyuuto onsen near Tamagawa onsen. If you have a serious skin disease or other problems that can be helped by hot spring, Tamagawa onsen is the mecca for Japanese.

I recently came back from a long trip through Japan. My favorite Insen was in Kyoto. Hot Spring, Massage, scrub, food, and drink. This place had it all. Unfortunately I don't think this is something we can experience in the USA. So I found this product. It soaked my aches away and gotta be the closest you can get to a real Onsen in America.

I first bought this in 2016 and I came back on here to find it and buy more. I like that it’s completely natural and does not appear to have additives like coloring and scents and such like I have seen commonly with other Japanese bath salts on Amazon. We went to Japan and did not get a chance to visit an onsen, so this was my consolation prize. It is mailed from Japan so it does take a few weeks to get here. It’s not made in China like some others. I don’t think it gets any more authentic than this.I have Multiple Sclerosis so last night I added this to some salts from this springs in VA, then some dead sea salt. Felt normal afterwards, but today I’ve been the energizer bunny and my hamstring tendinitis that I’ve been nursing for a few days is gone. Seems like my recovery from working out was a breeze too.Regular folks are probably OK with one product but I need several due to what ails me. Happy customer so I’m getting more!

Out of every bath product I've used, this one relieves the most aches and pains. These are authentic hot spring powders so as a warning, they don't smell good because it's all natural with no added scents. It's not a strong smell though so you only notice it when handling the powder. This stuff can also stain your tub if you don't wash the residue afterwards. That being said, it's totally worth it to buy these because you'll never get this kind of ache relief from any other product available. If you have a bad back or work out daily, this will help tremendously.

I could justify the small amount of of product for the price. Used one package and felt no difference. There was so little of the product in the package and you only got 6 of them. Plus there was no instructions in English.

As per the other reviews, leaves a rust color ring around the tub so just wipe it with a washcloth and water rinse after you bathe. I love this and I am a hot springs chaser and enthusiast. This really brings the experience of balenotherapy home.

金属の匂いがする薄い黄色のお湯です。皮脂を溶かしてくれるので、肌がスベスベになって毛がサラサラになりました。硫黄のことをレビューに書いている方がいますが、この製品が作られた明礬温泉は含鉄泉や含アルミニウム泉など酸性の泉質で有名です。そもそも硫黄泉じゃありませんし成分表示にも硫化水素や硫黄は含まれていませんので勘違いにご注意ください。その代わり、硫黄臭がするだけで効能が無い湯の花よりも断然おすすめです。

一度使い切り、リピートです。そんなに強い効果や匂いはありませんが、お湯に入れると確実に少しの温泉の香りがつき、成分が溶け出しているのが分かります。ただのお湯と比較して、温熱効果は間違いなくあります。私はアレルギー体質で、喘息とじんましん持ちなので、薬局などで普通に売っている温泉の素では発作が出ることが多く、なかなか使えません。普通に買える温泉の素の効果が強すぎるとじんましんが出ますし、香りが強すぎると喘息の発作が出ます。（旅先の天然温泉でも、じんましんや喘息の効能をうたっている場合は大丈夫ですが、成分が合わないと発作が出ることがあります。）この製品は、効果も香りもマイルドで、厄介なアレルギー体質持ちの私でも楽しく温熱効果を楽しむことができているので、とてもありがたい製品です。ただ、喘息やじんましんは個人の体質によって、発作が起きる成分や濃度の差が大きく異なります。試してみて悪い影響が出るようなら、使用はすぐに取りやめた方がいいと思います。このレビューはあくまで、私の体質での事例です。それでも、温泉の素を楽しみたい気持ちへの選択肢として、検討してみる価値はある製品だと思います。参考：製品名にある別府温泉で少し調べてみたところ、アレルギーによかった人と悪かった人が様々で、やはり個人差が大きいです。使ってみる場合は、ご自身でリスクを考えてやってみるしかなさそうです…。

強い鉄分のにおいがします。パック入りなので粉がこぼれず使いやすかったです。肌が弱い方ですが、刺激などは感じられずマイルドでした。湯上がり後はお肌がさっぱりする感じです。温泉に入るとよく眠くなったりするのですが、ぬるめのお湯につかっていると疲れているわけでも寝不足でもないのにフッと眠気が来ました。今まで他の入浴剤や温泉の素でもそんなことはなかったので、なかなか良い感じです。

「湯の素」がとても良かったので、楽しみにしていました。パックをお湯に入れて、溶けてきたら洗面器にあげておきましたが、流した後にお風呂を見たら黄色くまだらに染まっていました。プラスチックっぽいバスタブの方は要注意です。うちはもう落ちないと思います。鉄の匂いは特に気にならず、体もぽかぽかでよく温まりました。残りのパックは洗面器に浸して使おうかと思います。

古い傷痕が消えれば良いなぁと硫黄石鹸が見つからないので使ってます。
