Once you try it, you'll never use paper again.
I'm never going back to paper. I've been taping for over 40 years and this tape is a game changer. Stronger than paper, but thinner. Because the joint compound squeezes through the tape, you can get the tape super flat to the drywall and no chance of air bubbles. Also, if you happen to hit the tape lightly when sanding, no problem, it doesn't show through the primer, because the tape is saturated with joint compound. This particular tape is the regular tape, suitable for butt joints and compression edge, but don't use this for corners, your knife will tear it. Fibafuse makes a different tape for corners, it has thicker blue plastic cross strands. That is also excellent and now I use that instead of paper on the inside corners. Both tapes are suitable for your bazooka if you're using that. The only downsides are, you can't hold the tape in your mouth, the glass is abrasive. This tape you can tear with your taping knife, or bazooka, but the blue tape for corners you'll need to use scissors or a utility knife.

Easier to use than paper tape
I had a home renovation project to do and found this fibafuse easier to use than paper tape. The mud will "seep" through it, making it stick better with less fuss. It was easy to scrape the extra mud out and get a nice smoot seam. Can't use it in corners, but I knew that ahead of time. Also, you may want to wear gloves when using it, since the fiberglass can be irritating to skin.

FibaFuse Paperless Drywall Joint Tape
Excellent option for joint tape, especially in areas where you want to limit buildup of spackle. Very thin and porous, yet strong due to its fiberglass mat construction. I used it on cracks that developed between drywall sheets on ceilings. It is thinner and lighter than paper tape, lays down well and trims well.

Makes drywall repairs invisible (once sanded)
Ignore the negative review, they got the wrong tape. This is ultrathin fiberglass. It's itchy, but you can hide seams flawlessly. It's already thinner than paper, and then you can sand through its edges, and it won't come apart/get stringy/damage your patch. Truly does disappear, save for a sparkle from the glass that's readily covered up by paint. Wear disposable gloves. I crammed my 2 roles into individual gallon ziplock bags to keep the itchy dust off me. Can't recommend this product highly enough, and these narrower roles are perfect for patches. The wider rolls would serve better for seams between panels. Anyway. Buy this and stop being all technical.

Impressive Performance with a Few Minor Drawbacks
I recently tried FibaFuse paperless drywall tape for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to work with. It lays down super thin, which makes feathering out joints much smoother and helps achieve a clean, professional finish with less compound buildup. The tape adheres well and feels strong once embedded. One thing to note: the fiberglass material can be a bit irritating to the skin, so wearing gloves is a good idea. That aside, the convenience and finish quality make it well worth it. Great product for both pros and DIYers looking for a modern alternative to traditional paper tape.

Far superior to paper or mesh tape
This fiberglass drywall tape seems much stronger and thinner than traditional paper or mesh drywall tape. I threw away all of my old tape after using this. It is by far the best drywall tape I have used in 35+ years of painting.

My favorite for patches
This stuff is awesome. It lays flat, itโs super thin, saves time before coating and is super strong when itโs finished. For patch work itโs 100% worth the extra cost.

This is the best thing a DIYer can ever use for joints. I feel sad that only come across it at the last plastering project. Easy to use, and so far hasn't cracked like every other tape I have used. The fibre glass can be irritating and ichy to use, but as I am only using it once in while, it didn't bother me even without gloves.

Works well so far. This is not tacky so filler needs to be applied before and after application. Feels strong and easy to tear
