Excellent racing bike almost race ready out of the box.
Was looking for a complete race ready bike with quality components for $400-$600. After some shopping around and reading reviews this one seemed to be the best deal. It arrived quickly with no damage or missing parts. It’s mostly assembled and the rest of the assembly is rather easy with some basic tools most everyone has at home. After looking over the quality of the parts and taking It out on a few rides I’d say this is an excellent bike that’s basically ready to race right out of the box. I gave it a 4 but it’s probably more like a 4.5 but that’s not an option. The deduction is for 5 issues I had 4 of which are mostly minor complaints. 1st issue I had was the brake handle. It’s really long like you’d see on a motorcycle. Besides being a little unnecessary added weight it’s also something that could get bent or broken in a crash or perhaps caught on another rides pants or shirt in a close racing situation. It works fine but I will be replacing it. 2nd the seat pole is too short for casual street riding. It’s padded for street riding but way too short and at a funny angle. The should’ve either made it slightly longer or just saved putting padding on It that’s just more added weight that’s unnecessary. 3rd issue is the chain seems pretty flimsy and cheap. It works fine again and may be no issue for most people but it too will be replaced. 4th issue is being an aluminum frame they should’ve included chain tensioners. Any ruder that rides hard is going to have issues with the chain creeping up which could lead to a popped chain plus It will shred the hell out of the aluminum when It does. This was noted by many others and I resolved it by ordering the tensioners at the same time I ordered the bike. The 5th and last issue was the only one that I’d consider a major issue. The pedals that come with the bike are complete junk. They’re plastic and don’t spin freely at all. I was never going to use the stock pedal anyway as I have clipless pedals but nobody should use those pieces of junk. Just expect to buy pedals for this bike if you don’t already have an extra pair. They really should use a better set of metal platform pedals on a race bike designed for a larger rider. One other thing for taller riders the top tube on the Pro XL is only 21.25” instead of the usual 21.5” so if you’re over 5’11” you’ll probably want to go with the Pro XXL. Overall this is a great bike for this price definitely an incredible value and I would recommend It to anyone looking for a ready to race bike that won’t break the bank. Can buy It on the 6 month EZ pay plan for only around $90 a month which is what I opted to do. Hope the review wasn’t too long and was helpful.

Interested in BMX Racing? This is the Perfect entry level race rig
The media could not be loaded. A 4x4 truck is not an SUV and an SUV is not a car. A MTB is not a road bike and a road bike is not a BMX bike. Within BMX, a racing "rig" is not a "freestyle" rig (doing tricks like at skate parks--those bikes are beefier and about 10lbs heavier) nor is it a riding around town bike IF you want to sit down.I say this because some of the negative reviews regarding the bike. For example, in racing you maybe sit for 10 seconds at the start of a race. The seat angle, while uncomfortable for regular riding is actually perfect when you are sitting on a 15-20 degree incline at the starting gate. This is a fantastic entry level bike if someone is considering BMX racing. Other entry level bikes cost twice as much. (I got mine for $450 here in Nov 2020).The difference btwn the "Title Elite" and the "Elite" is similar to the difference btwn the mustang v8 GT and the v6 mustang. The former has upgraded drivetrain, wheels, etc. This is meant to be used for racing. I love mine. It allowed me to enter the sport at a novice level and feel competitive. Yes, I did replace the pedals and added chain tensioners like others recommended but it was about 22lbs out of the box. You can easily get it to under 20 by swapping tires and the forks.Mine was well packaged, arrived very quickly, and had no missing parts. It has gone thru 15 races and nothing has broken.

Nice bike, if you get all the parts
I am an avid bicycle rider. I ride several types of bikes. Full suspension mountain bike, commuter and fixie. This one was just to relive old memories of riding bmx on the street. I'm still in the process of customizing the gear ratio to fit my needs. It will be rode primarily on streets and paved bike paths.During assembly, the stem was already installed when I pulled it out of the box. I installed the handle bar and pedals and everything else. While test riding, I noticed that the stem and fork was moving back and forth in the tube.Pulled the stem off and noticed there was no bearing in the top part of the fork. Headset bearing was installed in the bottom, but not at the top of the fork.Took it to my local bike shop. They fixed it. Steering is great. However, Mongoose owes me a headset bearing. I communicated with them on their support email on their website. It's been a week. No responseI like the bike and would give it 5 stars if I received a complete bike or a response that included Mongoose shipping me a headset bearing.

Good bike
Our son loves it! He worked every odd job he could get for months to get this one instead of a cheaper bike. The bike is deceptively light in weight, but it is solidly built. It is small for its size, so if there's a question, go with the larger size. One wheel doesn't have a common axle bolt, but rather you screw 2 bolts into it, so pegs can't be added. That being said, if you are thinking of add-ons, go to Mongoose first so that you know that they'll fit. So, yes, its expensive, but its built to perform and I have no doubt that it will last for as long as he can ride it. Hold it up next to a "similar" bike at Target or Walmart and you'll immediately see and feel the difference.

If you are getting back into racing, you should buy this!
I love old mongoose BMX bikes, so I was verry stoked to get my hands on one of these bikes! I hadn't raced in about 4-5 years so I wanted something with great parts already, so that I could have a fast and great handling bike right way with out spending more money on more parts right after buying a new bike. I used to race very competitively, now I race more casually, and to stay in shape. I must add that since I got this bike I have done 2 races with it so far, and I won both races. Super controllable and stiff bike, I am very happy with it.

Seat is uncomfortable
The only issue with this bike is the seat is not adjustable to tilt. It adjusts up and down but the front of the seat points upward making it very uncomfortable for male or female.
