Kenmore has never let me down.
So I have had this vacuum about a year and a half and I'm 100% satisfied....It is not super light and on the heavy side and it is not really quiet. Neither if these factors bother me and in fact are good qualities in my opinion....Anything that has no weight to it is probably made with cheap inferior materials that will easily break....I like to hear my vacuum working super quiet vacuums make me question how much power is behind its suction... Anywho the vacuum gets up everything ( including a green scrubbie I forgot to remove from the floor prior to vacuuming ) has a few really useful tools. Is solidly built and hasn't given me any problems for the almost two years I've owned it. If I had to list any complaints the only negative is that my dogs hair gets tangled in the roller fairly often and I have to remove it more often than I'd like.

a best low $investment
Upright is very heavy. after cleaning 2 rooms, my arm was a wet noodle. ( 👍🏻NewYear’s resolve for pilates)Great suction, pulled 90 %of particle along carpet molding.Wand is tricky to maneuver into its resting cradle on canister.Floor wand is just open scoop, so really difficult to push along carpet, but great on bare floors.Nice to have a powerful varnishes option for vac car in garage. The “pet hair” attachment is nothing revolutionary, same as furniture with agitator. That brush moves, but lightly. However the UPRight agitator really PULLs you across the carpet. This was to replace 20yo Dyson. This Kenmore is generally heavier plastic. My dyson was great DESIGN engineering, but a complicated transformer toy. Many plastic gizmos cracked or tracked small toys, so I was dis/assembling its digestive track OFTEN. Kenmore is better @ Vacuuming, but it is not as tired as the ol’ dirty Dyson.I “feel” Kenmore is better quality than conflicting Shark reviewsOn Amazon. The days of your mamas rock solid Vac has passed. Overall: satisfied-$200 Kenmore is a good bet for couple of years of good service. My Dyson was $600. but required lots of babying.

Good if it doesn't break
Bought this after reading some very positive reviews. It gets the job done...if it works. Had it for less than a year and it had suction problems (insides were clean). Also the motor that spins the floor bristles stopped working. Kenmore said they couldn't help us because the same vacuum was unavailable. Oh well, got several months of a working vacuum. Won't buy from Kenmore again since they appear to have quality issues and don't make an effort to make things right. Definitely not good value for the dollar due to short life span.

Hit all the check boxes
I bought this vacuum to replace one with a canister that is IMPOSSIBLE to open without making a mess everywhere. I'm so glad I did! It was not complicated to put together although I will admit it took me a moment to figure out how the floor brush attached underneath the hose. The suction was amazing and yes, the canister came out and emptied without incident. Super easy. I do wish the little plastic latch that opens and seals the bottom of the canister was sturdier though. I feels like it could easily snap off if you're not careful. It was easy to remove the canister section but like other's have stated, it's a bit heavier than I expected. I wouldn't want to carry it around but it does sit on the floor well by itself and the hose length is good. The only features I would have liked to have seen is a retractable cord and a space for the pet roller brush attachment. Otherwise, I'm thrilled with the purchase and would recommend to anyone else looking for a Dyson quality vacuum at a more reasonable price.

The versatility is nice and conversion is easy, and it totally sucks
Dad joke aside (this thing REALLY SUCKS!) I'm very happy with this vacuum cleaner. It works very well and is a nice improvement over our last one. Changing modes from upright to hand-held canister-style (and back) is easy. The clever integration of crevice and brush tool is nice and I like that the wand is extendable. Another plus: the roller brush (upright mode) disengages when the handle is straight up. Our last vacuum did not do that, so it would sometimes overheat the belt while using the hose and attachments. I do not miss the smell of burning rubber. The reviews of this unit indicate it is fairly loud. It's much quieter than a failing vacuum, so that was not a problem for me. Our old machine would get pet hair caught up in multiple places. So far, this new machine has no such issue. My only criticism is the latch for the dirt collection chamber. It feels a little too small and weak compared to other vacuums I've used that have a much more substantial latching mechanism. This Kenmore's latch works but seems barely latched and isn't as easy to use.

Love this vacuum!
I have had this vacuum for a little over a year. Features I love: bottom cover easily comes off, hose suction track comes apart in many places……twice I sucked something I shouldn’t have(suction is so freaking strong!) and I was able to work from the bottom through the hose and fine the issue and remove it……, the suction pressure release valve(feel like I don’t damage the motor), hard wood floor end(works great on all of the dog hair), very maneuverable, comes apart to do the stairs(so much easier to get up and down stairs), wand extension(quickly makes it easy to use the wand without strain on me or going to get a piece).I bought the pet attachment as well….works great on certain materials, our couch that is a faux material it isn’t as effective, but works great on the cloth couch!!!!After a year, it works as good as the day I bought it.Would strongly highly recommend this vacuum!!!

Powerful sweeper
This sweeper does the job. It has attachments for cleaning in tight areas. The sweeper is not light but does what I expect a sweeper to do.
