. . . a NEW STYLE tremolo/echo harp . . .
This is a NEW STYLE solo tuned double reed harmonica .It is not an octave-tuned and still not quite a tremolo harp .With 24 double holes ,it has 3 complete octaves .The core (plasctic comb + brass reeds & reed-plate) is the same as that on a Suzuki Tremolo SU-24 2-Timer .But this Swan has just one-piece stainless steel cover plate ,bent to wrap around the comb ,from one side past the bottom to the other side, completely closed_no openings or ventilation holes_with both ends left totally open for air escape & sound projection (like a Suzuki Humming Pipe). Tuning is the same pitch for both rows (like 2 harmonicas stuck together) .So the sounds become "less tremolo" and somewhat naturally echoing in a curved(pear-shaped) chamber. Tuning is very good .Excellent tone and volume .When played on one row ,it sounds like a flute .Reeds' responsiveness very good ,but airtightness is just good enough to play ,like with a Su-24 2-Timer ,not as excellent as with a Suzuki Humming SU-21 . . .A beginner may get frustrated with this harp at first ...but once you get familiar with it ,it plays beautifully ...and the price is so great (about $8. vs. about $25. for Su-24/2-Timer) ...

sounds great!
amazing sound. not really for beginners. do a little more research about this harmonica before buying. the sound comes out the sides. there's no holes in the back like a usual harmonica. overall great purchase.

What?
It is not an harmonica, it is broken, a piece of true crap.

I do enjoy the sound of it when in tune
I play harmonicas daily and I can be hard on them. This unit went out of tune way too fast for me. I do enjoy the sound of it when in tune. I tried to clean...had a Reed come off whilst plucking.

Actually it turned out to be a pretty good instrument
It was cheap, so I risked it. Actually it turned out to be a pretty good instrument. It is not as good as my Hohner, but to my surprise, the notes have a tremulo to them.
