DickiesMen's 13 Inch Loose Fit Multi-Pocket Work Short

The loose fit is prefect. I wear these to work and out to casual occasions. I have a 34 waist but I size up to 36 because they tend to run small. They are super comfortable and durable. I wash mine with fabric softeners and after about two months they become exactly the fit I like. I’m in my mid 40s and have been wearing Dickies most of my life and they never go out of style.

So I measured my waist and my hips with a tape measure. Waist: 44 Hips: 42. I normally wear Levi's (36x30) at my hips, so I ordered size 42. They arrived in size 42, which was correct. But when I put them on at the hips, they are way too large, like, I can fit a softball between my body and the shorts' waistband. When I pull them up to my waist, they are just a bit loose. SO, my figuring is that they are sized a bit more than 2 inches larger than reality. I'll send them back and get a size 40 to see what happens. I'll review those as well so you can see my results. I'll also not be ordering relaxed fit 11" inseam instead of loose fit 13" inseam. These loose fit 13" inseam feel/look like I'm wearing my mother's culottes, as they end 3 or 4 inches below my knees! Nothing wrong with that--just not my tempo...EDIT: I actually tried different sizes on at a big box store; I found that 38 waist relaxed fit 13" inseam fits best. Just a little bit of extra wiggle room. Again, I measure 42" at my hips, and the size 38 sits on my hips just right.Otherwise, Dickies make fantastic affordable shorts and pants! Tough as nails, and comfortable (once you figure out your size). I'm fairly rough with them; skateboarding serves as my quality test, and Dickies last forever. I'm having to figure out my size because I'm buying my first new ones ever; I've always just bought them at thrift stores before, so I never really knew what I was getting, just looking for the Dickies tag and trying different ones on until I found the ones that fit.

I’m now in my 40’s and grew up with baggy jeans in the 90s. This is my style and it hasn’t disappointed yet. Been wearing them for a few months without noticing quality issues across 3 pairs. One is fitting a little tighter than the rest. Just encourages me to keep the belly in check.

These shorts are perfect for work. They were a little tighter that I was expecting, but overall good quality, and good shorts.

I'm so happy I read the reviews before I bought these.I would have bought these in my size which is 34, but everyone was saying to buy a little bigger so I did in a 36 and they fit perfectly. The material is comfortable, not too stiff and the pockets are perfect are roomy the cell phone pocket fits my s22 ultra with a thick case perfectly without having to cram it in there. In all these shorts are great and I'll be buying more

The shorts are super wide legged. Almost like you are putting on a pair of womens coolots. Had the leg opening not been so wide these shorts would have been fine. I am 6'0" 205lb man, and I could fit two of my legs in one leg opening. Shorts are a bit stiff too when you first receive. My guess is after a couple that may change, but didnt keep them to find out. Good length, color and waist fit, just to wide in the leg opening.

Not sure why it’s called “loose fit” considering it’s tighter than my other dickies shorts that I got at Walmart.

Order was received quick. Now comes the but. I own several pairs of these shorts. Soo comfy and right length for me. Now this is the first time I ordered them from Amazon. Ordered 32 waist as all my other pairs are 32. I can’t even come close to buttoning them up. I checked tag and it says 32. Should return but I live too far away from a purolator drop spot. Cost me more in gas than it would for the shorts. Will be donating to a charity and hope some one can make use of them. Very disappointed as I live in these exact shorts for work and play all spring through fall.

They fit me still ok but definitely thought that with the size I got was up a size or 2 but I was wrong. I should have gone up 2 sizes they fit snug around the waist.

I'm a big guy and these shorts are awesome. I love my dickies there the only shorts I buy.
