2020 Apple iMac with Retina 5K Display (27-inch, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD Storage)

I recently purchased a 2020 27-inch iMac from this seller, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. This is iMac 27 inch 2020 model with 5K display, and I upgrade the memory from 8GB to 128 GB, but looks I do not need such big memory for routine work. Anyway, the big the better. The display is brilliant, and the screen size is big enough to read ebook. My daughter used iPad to read ebooks, but the font size is a little small especially when two pages on one screen, so after I bought this 27 inch model, I created an account for her to share this computer, and she loves it so much! I also use this iMac to work from home, and the computing performance as well as the large screen is better than the laptop which makes work more efficient. In general, this is great product for home whatever for study, work or entertainment.

I am not a fan of Apple, but I have a friend who is. He is in a wheelchair and confined to his house. His computer is how he orders food and other needs, as well as how he communicates. When his old Apple stopped working (the sound card failed -- and the machine was too old for upgrades) I bought this computer for his Christmas present. While it took him a while to set it up (pass words and security for non-tech people seems like a nightmare to me (my experience is that Windows is much easier to set up), my friend loves his computer -- the screen is impressive.

I used an apple desktop for a while, 2009 and it served me well, but now had to upgrade a little and being a little older need bigger screen and the ability to edit many photo's. I got the new Mac for me, and wanted to be able to put more ram in to keep apps up all the time. The ports on the back were also a big seller for me and why I didn't go with M3 was memory and back ports. Cost was second and did check out PC side and for my needs a desktop wouldn't work. I do have laptop PC with Windows 11 and happy with it, but the Mac better for me even older, installed macOS Sonoma 14.5 with no problems. I would buy from this company again and they exceed my needs. One last note more than 15K photos.

This 27" iMac replaces one I had for 10 years that was still working but kept having kernel panics from old software that I didn't know how to remove. Of course, this baby is lightning fast, and I like the Mac substitutes for Microsoft Office that I didn't have on my old computer. It was a little frustrating at first to get it to look the way I was used to. Then Big Sur wanted to be downloaded, and I had to make a few more adjustments. The weirdest thing I had forgotten maybe?? was how teeny the password box and everything else appeared until I figured out how to make everything appear bigger. I guess I did that 10 years ago, but I was surprised I had to go through so many settings to make me happy. Now I'm all set, and I couldn't be happier. I did buy a slanted holder for the keyboard; it was too flat for me since it's now rechargeable instead of having a battery compartment elevating it in the back. I can't imagine anyone not liking this computer. What's not to like (well, except the $$)? Hope this one lasts me 10 years, as well.

Arrived quickly in unopened original packaging. Added some RAM and spent a few hours updating to latest OS and installing and configuring and its running like a champ. Only issue is that original Apple Warranty is expired and you cannot purchase Apple Care for it.

This computer replaced a Dell running Windows 10. It had 4GB of memory and was excruciatingly slow. The iMac came with 8GB of memory and was much faster than the Dell. I installed an additional 32GB of RAM, easily done through an access door in the back, so there should not be any memory issues affecting speed. The display panel is huge and has crystal clear display. It was a bit of a learning curve to get used to the Mac, but it is mostly intuitive. The iMac is rather pricey compared to the Dell, but is superior in every way. This one is used to conduct online piano lessons and the camera picture clarity is superb. We added an external microphone, but the onboard one probably would have worked. Overall we are very happy with this purchase and are glad we made the switch.

Very disappointed in this Apple product and Customer Support. I Had the Apple All-In-One 27” Desktop for a little over 3 years. It was 170 days outside its 3yr Apple Care warranty and the logic board went out. The computer was used very rarely at best once or twice month. Apple Store diagnosed and request I call their technical support team. Called technical support and was informed that they couldn’t do anything to assist.Logic board is a $600 repair. Purchased the Apple Desktop based on their history of longevity and customer support. I’ve had Dell and HP desktops in the past for half the price of the Apple which lasted twice as long and without any issues over a 5-6 yr span. This was my first and last purchase of an Apple Desktop Computer.

Bought a second hand item with a small discount in price and it simply doesn’t work. Now I have to spend time and money to send it back to Amazon
