Very well made but my dog was afraid of it.
The ramp was extremely well made and I was very pleased with it. However, I bought it for my Yorkie who is older and has arthritis so she doesn’t get around as good as she used to, especially on steps. That’s why I went with the ramp but unfortunately she was afraid of it and she couldn’t get a grip on it. If I picked her up and set her on it she was afraid to move or she would go sliding down it. I tried everything I could think of it but it didn’t work out for her. I do recommend the item, it’s all in whether or dog can and will use it.

NOT A RAMP FOR KIDS!
Perfect for the little dogs who dont have the jumping power or smaller older dogs who just dont have it anymore.

Broke Under 48lb Dog’s Front Feet
Just received. Unboxed: one metal part (bracket) had come off during shipment (?) & needed to be reattached (easy with a hex wrench). Parts of this are solid wood joined with glue & dowels (carpet is stapled on) - I’d prefer pocket screws but can respect a well-done dowel (the glue bothers me). The ramp portion itself is a sheet of plywood (maybe 1/8").Though there are bracing supports on the underside of the ramp, a majority of it is unsupported plywood (with that industrial, ridged, gray carpet-ish stuff meant to give traction underpaw stapled down at strategic points) slid into place along runnels that go from one end of each side brace along the inside length to the other end (similar to the track a sliding glass door would be in, or a window that can be slid up/down). This plywood can’t be pulled out as the staples holding the carpet-stuff go through the plywood into other wood. I haven’t verified but it seemed like some of the glue was also holding this sheet in place. Seems poorly put together (pieces joined are not at right angles so the stress of use will break it sooner than later + there’s a ‘rickity-ness’ to it that I didn’t expect).Anyway, my main grievance is this: there is no possible way this plywood could hold a dog over about 40lb. Our dog is 48lb sopping wet. The description for this product promised a weight limit of "up to 100lb" & there is just no way. We have been lucky enough to have dogs of all sizes join our family ranks at different times but only one was smaller. I think back to the Shiba Inu who was never more than 32lb & I’m not even sure I’d have felt confident having him go up or down this because he jumped and hitting this ramp with sudden force will surely break it. Our current canine companion only stepped onto the lower portion of the ramp with her two front feet (no sudden or dramatic application of weight or force) and the plywood cracked from left to right across the width of the item.Currently contemplating what I’ll do with this but there’s no way I’d let my dog on it again unless she was much smaller and I knew she’d never jump on it.

Adjustable height is great!
This is easy to move, easy set to desired height. It is sturdy. One star less because the material on the ramp was too slippery for our dog as others had said. We tried a sweatshirt and a towel but our dog kept sliding down. Finally a yoga mat worked perfectly. Adjustable height is an advantage. Thought I would use it on the highest setting, but found out the 16 inch worked best for our dog. I like the natural wood and the way it looks. It is easy to collapse and put away. Think it is helping our dog's hip. Glad I purchased this ramp.

Great but a bit slippery
It's a good quality ramp for my senior dog. But if you do put it on a higher setting when they're walking down they tend to slide. The carpeting on it is not very good foregrip. I suppose you could always replace it with something different other than that it works really well.

Just ok
After my dog's surgery, I thought I should get a ramp so to avoid him jumping up and down the sofa. He got used to it fairly quickly but still struggled at times when it was set on the steepest level because though it is carpeted, he still kept slipping. When set at the lower levels, he's fine though. For the price, it's pretty cheap looking tbh. After I had unwrapped the package and set it up, I noticed that it wasn't setting properly and would come loose every once in awhile, which is annoying. The ramp is ok and I kept it - it gets the job done but had I seen it beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it. There are plenty of other ramps in this price range that looked more sturdy.

Great for older or injured animal to get on beds
Is a wonderful idea. The problem was getting my dog to go up the ramp. And I think part of that was because she was hurting. I used all sorts of treats to entice her and no luck. so I had to lock her out of bedrooms until healed. But I am keeping it under the bed for another time when she can no longer jump because of age but is not injured. She was uncomfortable with the entire idea, maybe if I had taken more time, it would have worked but just closing the doors were easier.

Already broken in half
We had a ramp before this and it was sturdy but our new puppy soiled it too much and we tried this one since the other wasn’t on Amazon anymore. This is made of a cheap wood and it already snapped and the staples came off from our 2 dogs running up and down. They are both 10lb mini dachshunds so they aren’t big or heavy. Cheap product.
