18-Bottle Single Zone Compressor Wine Cooler

Great item for the home.

Was on the fence whether to give this product three or four stars. The unit is a single zone model, is nice looking, and functions as intended. While the reviews of this fridge have been positive overall, there are a few drawbacks, although I do not consider them deal killers. Also, this is my first wine fridge, so I have no baseline for comparison sake. As one reviewer commented, the metal shelving could be a little thicker, but they do the job. Another reviewer said that the unit was a bit noisy and I agree. However, such noise may be normal for wine fridges. Initially, when the compressor comes on, there's an audible hum, which is to be expected. The issue is that the metallic buzzing/pulsating sound that starts afterwards, which I find a bit annoying. Standing a couple of feet away, the noise level is ~40db while directly behind the unit, it is ~48db, which equates to average room noise. There is an opening in the rear panel of the fridge near the bottom that exposes some of the components like the compressor. I’ve put hand pressure on the compressor and sometimes doing so minimized the buzzing. If the fridge is kept in a separate room/basement then it shouldn't be an issue. Due to space constraints, mine is in the dining room where the noise is more noticeable. The manual does note that during normal operation, sounds like boiling water, gurgling, or slight vibrations may occur while the refrigerant circulates through the cooling coils. I think that the buzzing is louder than a slight vibration and yes, there is a gurgling sound at the end of the cycle. The fridge usually only cycles on for a few minutes and I can live with the noise. Of note, the fridge is sitting level. The interior LED light helps, but it'd be better if there were side lights as well. Not a fan of the bottom design that keeps three bottles at a 45-degree angle. If they have screw caps then guess there's no harm, but would prefer another shelf instead. Lastly, the temp. display continuously stays on and is too bright. Would prefer the capability to dim it or turn it off. In closing, nice looking fridge, functions as expected, but less noise during operation would have given it a higher rating. No worries if you’ll be keeping it in a more secluded area.

wife and mother both have these. great to have if you need to store extra wine but can't keep in the fridge.

This is a very nice compact cooler. Quite, you can hear it a little when it turns off. I like the lock on the temp control, My grandson likes to push buttons, so he cannot change the temp on this one.

This cooler cannot hold bottles on racks that are longer than approx. 12 inches.

Sad to say I purchased this in February as a replacement to the one I had for years which I really liked. This past week it made a loud grinding noise and died. Not sure what the next step will be.

This wine fridge is very stylish and functional. I have been putting it in the garage that gets pretty hot (in the 90’s) in the summer and yet the wine fridge was able to maintain the set temperature. Very satisfied.
