Lamp 5 Stars, Amazon Fulfillment Center 1 Star.
I read through a lot of reviews and the common issue was getting the SmartLife app to link to the Lamp. I had that issue a bit but I was also trying to link to a wifi extender that was a bit out of range. I also have Orbi mesh wifi in the house but you can't pick if your device is on 2.4ghz or 5ghz band and my phone doesn't have that ability either so I originally set it up on the extender. I decided to pull out one of our old Kindle Fires that only has 2.4ghz wifi and downloaded the app. I linked it to my Orbi wifi and relinked the two lamps that I received (ordered 3 total.. more later about that later). They both linked pretty much immediately, within 10 seconds. On the wifi extender, it would take almost the entire count down while searching for the lamps. I renamed the lamps in the app and linked SmartLife app to the Alexa app. I also grouped the lamps in the SmartLife app which is a needed feature of you have more than one in a room. I setup routines through Alexa and everything works flawlessly. The lamps themselves put out a pretty good amount of light. We have two setup in our family room and I consider it to be way more light then ambient lighting. The RGB color function is a nice touch and the kids really like it. The lamps can be set to cool white down to warm white which is great for the evenings. They're even dimmable through the app or Alexa voice control. Huge fan of these lamps but only time will tell how long they will last.Amazon fulfillment center. I ordered a total of three of these lamps. One was shipped by itself and the other two came in a box together. The one shipped by itself came first which got setup immediately. The other two arrived an hour later. I opened the box and setup the second lamp with no issues. When I went to pull the last lamp out of the box, it was in another Amazon box with the Amazon hassle free tape but the box had been opened and retapped with clear shipping tape. I opened the box and the lamp was missing all the factory plastic covering from the lamp. I looked at the Amazon box that it was in and there was a large white sticker that was placed on the boxes. I carefully removed the sticker to reveal a RETRUN sticker from someone else. Amazon placed TWO white sticker on the return sticker to cover it up. I was immediately pissed. I didn't pay $70 for a used/returned item. I looked at the lamp and one of the wires were pulled from the connector which probably caused the return in the first place. I called Amazon customer service and they replaced it immediately as expected which helped lol. I just find it nuts they would pull some shady crap like that.Closing thoughtsGreat lamps and make sure they are close to your 2.4ghz wifi access point.

Pretty awesome.
As soon as you assemble it, it's easy to see that this is built much better than the cheap floor lamps everyone had in the their dorm room at one time. It goes together strong and sturdy, and looks nice without standing out. This thing gets brighter than it ever needs to be, and playing with the colors and transition sequences is fun. The app lets you do everything, but a lot of functions and colors are available right from the lamp. Also - the USB charging port right on the lamp stem is nice touch.I'm just learning to use the app, but it does do some cool things, like allowing to set a time so the room is lit up by the time walk in to feed the dog every morning. Setting up night lights and away lights are just as simple. The app is a bit clunky at times, especially when setting up commands for groups rather than individual items. (I bought two of these that I want to always work together.) You can edit modes to cycle through the colors you choose, in the order you choose, and at a speed you choose, but you have to do this for each individual item, rather than allowing you to create or easily view any mode that controls both.I'm also disappointed the the Music Mode (which I was really excited about) can only be used on one device at a time - thus destroying all my dreams of living room dance parties fueled by color-change lights tuned to the beat of the music. That would be a great feature to see on a future update.

Will not stay paired
Like many others, I've found that this lamp stops pairing with the app/Alexa after some time. The first time it happened, I was still in the 30 day return window so I just assumed I got a defective model and exchanged it. The new lamp paired up just fine at first (just like the first one), no problem at all. Then after a couple months it disappeared from both Smart Life and Alexa and it has never paired up again.I've had this lamp since July of 2021, and every couple months I decide to try pairing it again, spend 15-30 minutes trying and trying, with no luck. It's a perfectly fine floor lamp, the illumination is decent, and the default color settings are nice (if a pain to cycle through) but I like all of my lights, speakers, etc. to be voice controlled and customizable. If that's what you're looking for, skip this lamp, spend a little extra and pick up a Govee or other reliable brand!
