The ability to lock the hook arms in the storage position is really good so it's not getting snagged on all your other equipment but then firmly locked them open when you need to.I did swap the rope for a slight thicker one when using the hook to catch and drag tree branches out of a lake so it was slightly easier to grip and pull on it.

Seems like a sturdy item, not yet fully used. Rope connection to hook is covered by a protective shield so effectiveness of the knot not yet tested. Seems to be good value for money

Needed to lift a load of bits (pallets) up 14ft and they did exactly what I wanted.

The product seems to be high quality and everything i wanted. I purchased to clear out a lake that i fish at. Should have no trouble removing even the biggest of objects from the lake floor. Great value for money and glad I purchased the larger model.

The hook itself is indestructible, you won't break it, sand cam get it jammed but it's easy enough to unjam, the teeth on the hooks easily catch anything thrown at, the carabiner is weak however I have not yet needed to replace it, the real weakness is the rope, it is light enough to throw, however it is very thin making it very difficult to climb, I recently replaced the rope with a thicker cotton rope and am having much better results
