Fantastic! Perfect fit. The "ultimate driving machine" is plagued by the worst cup holders in existence. The stock cup holders, at about one inch depth with flimsy plastic rings will certainly hold your beverage upright; assuming you are on a level surface and don't move at all in your seat. And sure, these overly engineered pieces of garbage look cool when deploying - after all, at $50,000 we demand that our cup holders unfold slowly and majestically into their useless position.Well ladies, it's 2017 and you've go enough to be concerned about without the stress of not if, but when, your original German rings of mediocrity give way and dump your scalding hot coffee everywhere.No more. No more. Click "buy," pay your 14 bucks and stick this great product in your dashboard, jam your Big Gulp or venti coffee in the holder of your choice (two cup sizes) and crush that accelerator, stomp on that brake, rocket through the twisties and laugh at the world for you, yes you, are going places, but your cup is staying put.If you own a 90s or early 00s BMW and don't buy this great product today, you're an idiot.

If only I knew this cupholder existed when I bought my wife a BMW a year ago! All this time she has gone without a holder for a coffee, water bottle, etc. When she discovered this item, she was soooooo excited. We are happy to report that it fits absolutely perfectly into the tray area beneath the radio. It is a nice tight, snug fit. We didn't even have to use the double stick tape included with it. One holder is slightly larger than the other, so this item accommodates larger and smaller drink cups or bottles. The pockets are deep enough to hold drinks upright without any tilting or spilling while cornering. This is a Godsend!

I went through 4 sets of manufacturer cup holders in the 14 years I’ve owned my e39. I didn’t even know these existed, and I was very skeptical but they’re great! They fit very snug and you really don’t even need the adhesive (I didn’t use it, but if it ends up wanting to come up I’ll use it). They’re sturdy and u can accidentally hit it and it won’t budge. You need to actually forcefully remove it.Now don’t go putting the huge big gulps in here and expecting it to be okay, but for normal use it’s 1000x better than stock.

Good fit. Does not cover up DSC button. Plastic will not appear as quality as rest of car, but unnoticeable without looking close.Did not use included tape, used 3M body tape instead and only applied at right edge because taping onto the oem black plastic parts of this car would damage the coating that is already susceptible to degradation on these cars.

I just bought a used BMW 530i and had heard that the cup holders were poorly designed and broke easily. Mine were already broken, but I'm a bit of a purist and don't like tacked-on fixes. I decided to try this because it looked like an inexpensive fix. This piece is an elegant solution to the BMW cup holder problem! I just popped it in without peeling off the adhesive tape on the bottom because I wanted to test it out. It fit so securely and looked so "built in" that I've just left it like that. (This is probably how BMW should have designed it in the first place.) And if you ever want to revert to the old holders, just pop it back out and the old holders are still in place. For $15 you can't beat it!

Fits so perfect and snug you may not even have to use the sticky pads on the bottom. Now I don't have to worry about drinks flying all over the place. Really good cheap replacement for the original cup holder.

I was hesitant to buy this because I thought it would be a pretty ugly addition to my car, but I went ahead anyway because I was tired of the flimsy OEM-style cupholder. Functionally, this version was much better. I like the two different size holders - the smaller is perfect for standard soda can sizes. Unfortunately, this cupholder is not designed for removability. I had to remove my center console to access the shifter assembly, and ended up destroying this in the process. It would be nice to see a version of this cupholder that uses the OEM version's screw locations rather than an adhesive solution.

It is such a disappointment. It is shallow and not big enough to hold anything that is larger than a mid sized CUP. The operative word here is CUP. Don't expect it to hold any of the water bottle most people carry around. And if you could force it in it is so shallow that one burst of speed and the whole thing tips over. I'm still looking for a water bottle holder. sad...
