Quiet and surprisingly effective.
Works better than you’d think. Plenty of power and battery life to cut up a 5” diameter pine tree and all the yard storm debris on one battery pack charge. And it’s super quiet. Keep the bar lubed and the chain adjusted and get to work.

Super fast cut
I have two other tools by the manufacturer that use the same battery so that’s why I bought it and it works very well using these batteries and cuts very fast.

The media could not be loaded. It is a chain saw. We bought it because the deal was awesome. It came today no battery or charger in a box that clearly says included. All we want are the battery and charger that we paid for

It’s great!
I ordered my new chainsaw because I’m tired of all the hand sawing I’ve done through the years. I have to admit that chainsaws have always scared me. I read the instructions from cover to cover, and consulted a friend who has done a lot of work with chainsaws. Carefully following safety instructions, I tackled a fair amount of yard work, such as cutting off a tree limb, and taking out dead, large chokecherry bushes (that are more like a small tree). I’m still learning, but this has cut the work load tremendously! Highly recommend.

Battery o14 inch chainsaw
Works great. Had trouble getting the chain on the bar and then adjusted. Once that happened it was great. Would recommend

Not for any real work
This is a neat little saw which has battery compatibility with other Kobalt equipment which is why I bought it. The chain constantly needs tightening and the power really isn’t there for rounds of wood larger than 8”-10” across. This thing is really only good for clearing an occasional tree limb or a cutting a very small tree down for fire wood.

Broke on first use. Don't waste your time with this model! Read for warranty warning.
I purchased this chainsaw to trim some small trees in my yard. Missed the Spring window so waited until fall to do the trimming. The chainsaw broke on first use. Specifically, there is a dial to tighten or loosen the chain. That dial was not working so I could not properly tighten the chain and the chain kept coming off the bar during use.It was my fault that I missed the return window for this seller, but I was not worried because Kobalt has a 5 year warranty. When I tried to call Kobalt, I found that they don't directly deal with warranty claims but instead you have to go back through your seller to get a replacement. This seller is not an authorized seller for this product and that is not clear on the seller page, so I can't get a replacement. I had never heard of a warranty having to be handled this way and learned the hard way. Be careful and make sure your seller is an authorized seller or just go to Lowes for Kobalt and you will be safe.In summary, this chainsaw was trash and broke on first use and be careful with Kobalt to only purchase from an authorized seller so product warranty will be honored. Or just don't delay using it to be able to return before return window closes. :(
