ClairolNatural Instincts Hair Color, 4R Rosewood (Dark Auburn Brown) 1 Kit

I am allergic to permanent haircolor. This semipermanent color covers my white hair well and will allow me to look a little younger for a little longer.

I don't use permanent hair color, so I don't have much to compare this to. However, I've had pretty consistent, satisfactory results with Natural Instincts. I have fine, light ash brown hair that I previously dyed dark brown. I wanted a deep, rich auburn color and first tried Cinnaberry, which was too bright and unnatural for my liking (although it faded into an a color that wasn't too obnoxious). It didn't wash out after 2 months, so I dyed over it with Rosewood and was very happy with the results. It's a deep, rich, beautiful hue and it blended flawlessly between my old hair and virgin roots. My hair is also soft and smooth, healthy feeling (I didn't use the conditioner that came with it since I'm avoiding 'cones). There was some bleeding on my pillow the night after I applied the color, but that's to be expected with non-permanent dye.

Been using this product for several years. I am quite pleased with the quality & color of this product. I feel that it does not dry my hair and keeps it shiny.

I bought two boxes of this. As I was applying the plastic had a cut and exploded on my hair the walls my bathroom floor my vanity and tub. What a mess. So I tried the second bottle same thing. Both were defective. I was so upset. My bathroom floor is ruined. Never again

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Clairol hair color -- however, I ordered the color Rosewood. I've used it before and really like the shade. What I got was Dark Auburn Brown -- which is something totally different. It's also a good color -- so I kept it -- but was disappointed that the wrong thing was sent to me.

I hated the way this color came out so much that I had to go to a salon to get it fixed. It came out RED red, nothing natural looking about it.

One Star...never again!
