I used these swimming shorts when rowing on my Concept 2 rowing machine. They were ideal. The swimming shorts were a perfect fit for my 34” waist. I found that the material was sufficiently flexible to allow me to row in comfort for up to 1 hour without any chafing. As promised, within a matter of minutes, they were dry without any need to wring them out. They are well made with an attractive pattern on the side of the trunks. I can therefore easily recommend them to those rowing in hot conditions as well as swimmers looking for a traditional pair of swimming trunks.

Got these for my husband. They are a nice pair of speedo swimming shorts, but are very expensive just for swimming in the pool. He does prefer something with a bit of a longer leg, but thought he'd give these a go. They are a very snug fit, and to be honest they could have done with being a size bigger (maybe two). They did fit though and he did say they felt nice to wear, just needed to be a bit bigger! They look really nice and if you are a serious swimmer then they would be perfect. The price does put me off though, and for what you use them for I would much prefer to buy ones that are at least half their price.

I always wear Speedo swimming trunks. They are well designed, well made, and long lasting. More expensive than other brands, but the quality is better. This pair of swimming trunks is made of quite thick materials but remains elastic and hugging. The drawstring is useful. They fit the body well. And the key areas are well padded so both protective of the body and also modesty I think. It says it is chlorine resistant, a very nice feature. I am pleased with this pair and will be happy to recommend.

these are really good quality aqua shorts. My husbands says they are true to size and very comfortable to wear. They are nice and thick and don't go see-through like the cheaper ones do. Speedo is a brand I certainly trust when it comes to swimwear and this product is no different. They have a drawstring on the inside of the waist for that extra security and wash very well on a 30 degree wash. So far the colour has not faded and they dry very quickly over a radiator.

Review of the 34 XL sizeThe Speedo Boomstar swim shorts are well made and fairly stylish. The reason for the more moderate rating is the sizing. Even allowing for the intended tight fit, these are not meant to be baggy, they are very small fitting and fit more like a 30 or possibly 32 than a 34. I would be very tempted to order a size up on the expected fit.
