It's a tennis ball, with a rope through it.
I'm not sure how much there is to say. It's a tennis ball.It has a rope. But the rope goes through the ball.Uncle showed me a magic trick like that once.Mine still had the little round cutout from the ball itself, rattling around inside the ball. Could be a hazard? One quick check before you buy -- does your dog tear tennis balls apart, eventually, or just chomp? My boy LOVES this toy, but occasionally he decides the tennis ball requires liberation. SOMEHOW it's still holding onto the rope, but he's destroyed that ball, lol.

Fuzz on tennis ball ripped off in 10 minutes
We recently adopted a 7 year old dog who LOVES tennis balls. She walks around with it in her mouth all day, will barely put it down to eat or drink. Sleeps with it in her mouth or right under her paw like she's protecting it with her life. She just doesn't quit. We were grossed out and annoyed with her dropping slobbery balls on the couch, on chairs, laps, etc. all day long, so I thought I would try a design like this with the handle on the end. After 10 minutes with it the fuzz on the ball started coming off. She tore the fuzz off the entire ball (see photo). Have not had this problem with the container of tennis balls we've been buying for her at Walmart. I was able to get the fuzz from her so she didn't eat it and I guess the toy is still functional (though now every time she bites into it, it makes the annoying hollow ball sound), but I don't feel like it was worth my money. I definitely wouldn't buy this again.

Love it.
Bought it because this is my dogs favorite toy. She had one before but it broke after a year of play and I had to find a new one quick. She looked for her favorite for today’s well this was coming in the mail.Update: still loving it. It’s name is favorite. I have no clue why this is her favorite but not other toys similar. It cannot even be a different color. We got her one from a different brand and it is not the same apparently this is the only toy out of the toybox for my lab. Everything else can be switched out and put away but not this

My girl’s long-standing favorite!
This is the magic toy for my little rescue girl. This has been the toy of choice for her whole 13 years. So glad Amazon has them now because I can hardly find them anymore in the stores.

This is a pretty good toy, but I wish I could still find the version with 2 balls (one on each end) instead of just the one. My last dog had the two-ball version and it was her absolute FAVORITE toy, so I wish I could find one for my new dog too.

Well made.
After losing numerous tennis balls in the snow we tried this product. It took a couple of throws to get it right, but then we were good. Our ball crazy Springer loves it, so it’s a good thing that we bought three. It has withstood the snow and our heavy chewer.

Favorite Toy!!!
Our boy LOVES it!!! This was our second one, but the first lasted a couple of years and a lot of play!! Favorite toy for lakes!! Floats, but easy for him to retrieve, easy to chuck far because of the rope, and can also be used for tug-o-war. Will buy another in a couple years. Please don't stop making/selling these. Its his favorite!!

Needs stronger rope, but good toy if used for fetch alone, just don't let your dog have full-time acesss
I have a medium sized dog of ~50lbs and he really enjoyed these toys. However, he chewed through the ropes of each VERY quickly leaving us with simply the tennis balls. In the future, I'll be sure to buy like items with much thicker/stronger rope. So, while I do put some of the blame on myself for not recognizing that the ropes included were not very thick, I do think the STRENGTH of the rope should be increased to better withstand dog's chewing so that the toy can last longer. Else, I would have given 4 or even 5 stars.

Great toy for my dog!
Fun toy for my dog! We play fetch with it but I would hesitate to play tug. The ball would likely break off.
