Worked great with my Dial Caliper.
This tool has worked great for me. I set my table saw up in no time flat within a .001 of an inch, or less than 1/64 of an inch. I couldn't get it that close with the wooden jig I made along this idea. So, it was worth it to me.The jig had worked great the first few times I used it, but I was setting up a new table say and by the time I had the blade and fence set up once, I discovered the table top was warped. I had to get a new one. By the time I got the new top on and started trying to set the blade and fence again, the jig I made could no longer hold my caliper stable. Every time I moved it the caliper would shift.I would recommend this tool to anyone wanting to get very accurate setups of their table saws. But, from what I've read and after using it myself, Digital calipers might have a problem, especially if it's under 6 inches. That's because the housing of the electronics of a digital extend a ways down the length of the caliper. It might work with a 6 inch Dial caliper, but I think that depends on your table saw, at least for the blade. This tool will work to set any table saw "Fence" because you can bring the fence to the caliper. Even with a 6 inch caliper. Maybe even with a 6 inch digital caliper.I do need to qualify that this is assuming your using a fairly standard sized, metal caliper. It may or may not work with plastic calipers.

Does the job - at the lowest cost - made in USA!
Wanting to check my new table saw alignment, I looked at various dial indicators, from expensive (Starrett, etc.) to cheap - the cheap ones were appealing but had various issues (longevity, accuracy, quality). I already had a reliable digital Vernier caliper so I thought to try this out before investing in a purpose-built measurement tool, since this is an infrequently done task. This mounting device is clever and accurate - fits very snuggly into my standard mitre slot. I was able to see I had a table saw blade within spec, easily and accurately (.002" in at the back of the blade). So - I'm happy. I will say, through others' helpful comments, that I checked the size of my digital caliper before I ordered. It fit perfectly. I had to mount the calipers backward to get the reading on the blade, then switched it around to read the parallelism of the fence (I think I have to adjust it - it's out .0295"). See image for how it looks on my table saw on the fence reading position. (Saw: Laguna Fusion F1).

Cheap, effective
Simple, but sturdy. Stuck a little in my standard miter slot (Delta 36-979 saw).Several complaints about it interfering with the gauge readout, my suggestion is to use a block of wood next to your saw blade and measure to the wood. Works great!

I really like this jig and wish that I known about this sooner, it saved me so much time aligning the blade to the miter slots. It does what it is supposed to do and my table saw cuts much better now that it's aligned. The instructions were clear and even show you how to measure if your calipers are not able to fully reach the blade. This was used to correct alignment on a Delta model 36-6022 table saw. The saw had it's own issues but this jig makes it much better. A note to any beginner, when you loosen the trunion bolts to adjust the blade, loosen them to be taught (not loose) and use a dead blow hammer (or regular hammer) with a scrap piece of wood to gently tap the blade into alignment.

Not bad BUT...
This is a quick and easy way to align your saw fence, but I do have a couple of caveats. 1) not all calipers fit: this item won't hold many of the smaller-size calipers... so if you've got an undersized 4" caliper you might be disappointed. 2) This jig won't work to align the saw blade with the miter slots on every saw. It does fit a standard miter slot, however, depending on the location of your miter slot relative to your blade, you may not be able to adjust the caliper while it's mounted in the base. For example, on my Jet cabinet saw, the miter slots are positioned in just such a way that this jig will not work to align the miter slots with the saw blade. It's hard to describe why, but it has to do with the sliding jaw of the caliper preventing me from mounting it at the necessary distance from the blade to get a measurement.BUT for this price, it's a great, easy and quick way to make micro adjustments to a saw fence.

Great budget friendly way to check alignment
I have a standard digital caliper. This tool fits firmly in my miter slot and slides easily. I had no trouble using it to align my blade with the miter slot, and then to align the fence with the miter slot. It gave very repeatable readings and did its job well. Is this as good as using a specialized rig with a dial indicator? Probably not... But it does a great job at a great price and provided consistent readings.

Not helpful for me.
Just hot helpful for me at all. M payable machined better would help. Very sad about the device I just bought a new table saw & was really trying to get this thing to help get it set up & be accurate as possible, unfortunately, got so frustrated I threw it into the trash,

The design and construction are very good and the jig does what it is designed to do. However, I have to knock the particular method used to adjust the blade to the slots. This is because when you take the variables in this method of adjustment (the deflection of the saw blade and the inconsistency of of the pressure you put on the calipers when it touches the blade), you lost accuracy. Now, if you're off by a couple thou, it's no big deal as it's a table saw, not a milling machine so it works good enough for most people. Dial indicators will give you the best results since the dial indicator puts a consistent force on the saw blade giving you consistent results going from the front to the back of the blade.
