30" Pick Up Tool Aluminum Grabber Reacher w Pistol Grip and Magnetic Magnet Tip

I purchased two of these at the sale price from Amazon and note in the picture the position of the lower jaw. When picking up something from the floor such as a sweater or shirt, I found that the jaw slipped out of adjustment and would not work. But there is an easy fix. Just take the pin out which holds the lower jaw in place and move it closer--- a notch or two---- to the other jaw. There is a ratchet set up which operates the jaw mechanism and moving the jaws a little closer together will improve the strength of the unit and enable you to pick up heavier items within limits of course. Testing the limits will help.

Very-very good tool. Have only used as a pick-up tool, so far. Even works for tiny scraps of paper.

This product is a must for my paraplegic husband. One of the better quality brands.

I have a question. It is not stated in the specs but What is the internal wire made of, steel or nylon?

Don't work as well as I expected. Have another style that is much better.
