Omega Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box, Large, Green and Beige

Omega Paw is, imho, the best litterbox you can buy! I've been using them for a dozen years or more now, after trying all other kinds of boxes: regular scoop, automatic scoop, sifting screen, etc. You don't have to handle litter, scoops or liners, there are no gimmicks like charcoal filters that don't really work, the cover keeps your kitty from scattering litter or going outside the box, there is no litter waste, and it very rarely needs its own cleaning. Use with an ultra-premium clumping litter such as Everclean (expensive but totally worth it), and you will never have to do anything more than keep adding litter as the level falls, and your house WILL NOT smell. My husband and I have six indoor cats, we clean their four Omega Paw/Everclean litterboxes once a day, and one of the first things people say when they come in our house is "Wow, do you really have six cats?? Your house smells great!"I totally recommend Omega Paw for anyone with cats!

This box is awesome. I hated cleaning the litter box and essentially settled on doing as much once every 3 weeks. Now I do it several times a week.This thing is soooo easy to use. You don't need one of those crazy expensive automatic cleaners. This is so simple that it takes longer to describe the process of cleaning it than it is to just do it. I've been using Tidy Cats clumping litter and it works great. It really is a simple matter of tilting the box, collecting the pieces, settling it back on the floor and emptying the drawer. I do this several times a week and my cat seems happy and there is a lot less smell of litter box in my basement. I recommend it to any and all cat owners.

This box is such a great easy concept and it really does work the only problem I have is that the latches that hold the Box shut are flimsy plastic so if those break than the top of the box opens and litter gets everywhere.. this is my second box and with both of them the screen in the inside that filters out the good letter from the dirty litter comes up.. and then you end up getting clean litter inside the dirty litter bucket not something you really want to keep going in to fix considering poopy litter is in it .. haven't had the Box long and already had to take apart 3 times to put the screen inside back into the slots.. I love the box! I love the concept! I just really wish they would consider fixing those defects..that being said i still would highly recommend it. .😉

The sides are a little mis shapen from shipping so litter leaks out when it's rolled. And you have to be careful when filling, if you get too much litter then it doesn't filter correctly. Or if the vents become clogged it won't filter. Other than that it works okay and I like the design and it keeps odors from leaching out pretty well. It is a quick process to eliminate the waste (most of the time). Worth the money? yeah, probably so in my opinion.

But you do have to scoop the cat litter after you have tipped it into the clean tray. Because cat litter ends up staying at the bottom, so you still need a scooper. Also the grade sifter inside that sifts the cat litter, while you are cleaning, it falls out of its tracks. Soiled Cat litter still ends up inside the sifter tray area. So you have to take the lid off put gloves on and fix the sifter tray. Also soiled cat litter and poop gets stuck in the sifter tracks. It is a great product but you must make sure you clean your cat boxe everyday or even twice a day, too avoid any buildup. Also if the clean out tray is too full it ends up scraping soiled cat litter on the opening of the clean out tray area. Then you end up washing your whole entire cat box, scooping out the litter, before you can have full ease of use, with this box. It is a brilliant concept only if it would stay cleaner. I am a 2x meningitis Survivor and I'm really looking for a cat box that I do not have to touch. I thought this one was it. But it seems like I need to spend a $400 and get the automatic cat box. To be a fully untouched cleaning process.

Initially liked it, but after a few cleanings the top warped and did not fit correctly...huge quanity of litter leaked out along the seam. What a mess and waste of litter. Not worth the trouble to pack up and return...threw it in the dumpster where it belongs.

This litter box would change my life for the better in the first 2 months of purchase. After 2 months, I'm back to scooping poop. It's a good concept since it's hands free and makes collecting all the waste more clean. However, before buying, take note of user requirements. You have to tilt the box literally on its side to filter out the waste, and it can get pretty heavy. Once the waste is in the scoop drawer, you have to lay it back down and sift the litter bc it stays on the side you tilted it to. Once you master those trick, you're all set. FAST FORWARD a couple of months .... when you put the top on the box, it snaps into place creating a seal. That seal has become weak & now half of the litter falls out to the ground when tilted to the side. I tried snapping it back on, taping it, etc...but to no avail. I wouldn't call this durable at all.

This is the best litter box on the planet. This is my third one (Gave one to friend and replaced, and needed second one with adoption of stray that is housed in a separate area). They make litter box maintenance a very neat and simple process. I won't repeat the instructions, but works like it says and really reduces the eyesore factor of an open litter box. And no, the enclosure does not bother any of my cats at all. I think they like the added privacy. And when they scratch the litter, it doesn't fly all over. Can't say enough. Been using these since 2003 with total satisfaction. Personal opinion: The expensive automatic ones are a waste of money.

Elle est juste génial elle peut sembler de faible qualité au premier regard mais elle tient bien la route et avec une litière adapté (style vadigran sensitive) elle rend la tâche de nettoyage de litière tellement facile et en quelques secondes

Fini la pêche aux crottes à quatre pattes, un demi tour, qlq tapes, et c'est filtré. J'ai plusieures litières et 8 chats mais celle ci remporte la palme. Litière agglomérante un peu onéreuse mais ici je la mélange 2/3 avec de la litière premier prix et ça fait le job qd même.

This is my 2nd time purchasing this litter box! I have 2 cats using the large size (they like to share). I wouldn't downsize to the smaller size or else my fat cat probably wouldn't fit inside. I had this litter box for a few years, eventually replaced it (they get smelly) with a new one and it just didn't live up to my expectations. I tossed it after 1-2 months and bought another one of these Omega Paw self-cleaning boxes! The self-cleaning feature makes it quick and easy to do a poop scoop, however you'll still need to completely replace the litter about once per month. Note that this box takes up a lot of space and may not be appropriate for tiny apartments.
