Functional and Easy to assemble
Purchased this after a hawk tried to get my chickens. So far it has worked great combined with some other deterrents. Super easy to assemble! I wish it was bigger but it’s good value for money.

Cheap made!
So disappointed when received it. Such a cheap made one. Expansive for cheap make material. So small! It can't scare away anything because of the size.

His arms may come off if it's actually windy!
Poor little guy. We had some wind and three of the 4 arms came off. The plastic holding them to the shaft seems to be thin and brittle. If you consider buying this, it's easy enough to fix. Coat the areas where the arms connect with some sturdy glue, and they should hold. We repaired ours, and it seems to be doing fine now.

ASSEMBLY REVIEW ONLY...AMENDED
i have not tried this item yet...I'M GIVING THIS A POOR RATING BECAUSE THE 'ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS' ARE the worst i have ever encountered...the diagram is atrocious to where you have no overall view of the scarecrow or understanding of what's what...it would be so helpful to have a full view and in color...the 'STOPS' are shown grouped all together close touching side by side but they are not in actual life...so, i tried moving them closer however the stops are meant to be separated grouped 1 and then 2 WITH THE SINGULAR ONE CLOSEST TO THE BODY OF THE 'GUY'...you aren't even told where the body of the scarecrow is nor can you see it in the diagram..specialized words are used...i have assembled many things from diagrams and had a job where i assembled items from diargrams...this is the WORST instruction paper i've seen...i searched the internet and found a 'doc' describing the assembly referencing a diagram not shown which is worthless...i'm going to put 'Scarecrow Guy' in the yard and give an updated review on the functionality of this...i'm surprised nobody found it hard to assemble...this can be put together but it takes much longer than one ought to have to spend...the 'END CAPS' should be screw-on but they are dangerous to put on for you could break the rod... the diagram should have a 'far away big picture view' and a close view...you are never shown the body of the scarecrow itself or where the 'Star Lock Hub'-'Plastic Tip'-'Support Pole' are located within the body of the scarecrow...at first, i thought i was given a 'WhirliGig' without a scarecrow because you do not see the 'Little Guy', at all, in the diagram...this diagram picture and language could be so much better written by a High School Freshman...Again, you can assemble this but takes time, patience and great care.AMENDED: the instructions were terrible...THIS GUY HAS BEEN IN THE GROUND FOR 3 MONTHS IN 3 DIFFERENT PLACES...WORKS WELL FUN TO WATCH...I PLACED IT OFF THE VERANDA A FEW FEET FROM WHERE I SIT AND ENJOY IT...FUNNY: IT HAS BEEN IN IT'S PRESENT SPOT FOR 2 OR 3 WEEKS...HE HAS BEEN SLANTED...SO , BEFORE MOWING , TODAY , I WENT TO DIG UP THE 'BASE' YOU SET THE GUY INTO , AND THE BASE IS!....YEP, THE BASE IS GONE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...I DON'T THINK A CAT OR PERSON CAME INTO THE YARD AND DUG HIM UP AND TOOK THE BASE...I SEE NO EVIDENCE OF THAT...I CAN ONLY CONCLUDE ONE THING...THE BASE DISINIGRATED...THE BASE COULD NOT HAVE SLIPPED LOWER INTO THE GROUND BECAUSE THE BASE IS ON STONE SOIL BELOW...I DUG A 12" DIAMETER WHOLE AROUND THE SPOT WHERE THE BASE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE AND 8 INCHES DEEP...BASE, GONE?...AT FIRST I WAS MAD BUT ALL TURNED OUT BETTER...I DUG A DEEP HOLE, SET THE THING STRAIGHT, PACK DIRT AROUND IT TIGHT, LAID STONE AROUND THE BASE...HE'S LOOK MORE HANDSOME THAN EVER..........I THOUGHT THE POLE HE'S ON TURNED IN THE BASE THEREFORE THIS WOULD NOT SPIN BUT THE POLE DOESN'T SPIN IN THE BASE I DO NOT BELIEVE...THE GUY SPINS 'BY HIMSELF' ON THE UPPER POLE...THIS THING WORKS WELL AND LOOKS GREAT AFTER 3 MONTHS....BUT, IT IS A PAIN IN THE REAR END FROM BAD INSTRUCTIONS TO A BASE THAT MELTS...BUT, AGAIN, IT IS COOL....I THINK I LET THE PEOPLE KNOW AND THEY'VE NOT RESPONDED
