Use this ALL the time!
We established a coffee/tea bar in our home adjacent to our kitchen and decided to replace our standard tea kettle with this electric one. Having bought a Bodum electric kettle for our office, I bought this one for our home. Stainless steel, well-made, heats quickly. Two thumbs up!

Wonderful product
I have this as well as the coffee pour over, which I like as well. I use it daily, usually to make tea, but we also enjoy using it for hot cocoa and the like. Even though it is made of metal, it doesn’t feel scalding on the exterior although it definitely is significantly warmer to touch. I don’t make it a habit of grabbing the exterior, of course, but sometimes check to see if the water I made is still warm or needs to be reheated if I let it sit too long. The build quality is quite durable as it has taken a few tumbles since it sits on the edge of a shelf and the plug is in a rather inconvenient location. Now as a tip, I used to experience leakage out the lid in the beginning whenever I poured it. After a while I realized I was the problem. Once it starts pouring, do not tip the kettle more. If needed, do it slowly. The spout is on the bottom of the kettle. Once you allow the water to reach enough momentum, it will pour out steadily. My problem was I kept tipping it more than necessary the more water it poured out, which caused leakage. Trust the process, as they say!

Worth its money plus very elegant on the kitchen counter
As a drip coffee and tea drinker this was something I wish I bought wayyyy earlier because it's so great. I like the thin swan neck spout, great for drip coffee and just looks so elegant. I've had it for 2 years now and between my brother and I we use it about 3-5 times a day but it's still going strong with not a single issue. It boils water much faster than the cheaper plastic one that I had in college. I'm not picky about the temperature for my teas, I like my teas piping hot so I don't mind that it doesnt have a temperature setting.

Gooseneck kettle.
I debated purchasing this for a long time as I was using a stove top gooseneck water kettle which worked just fine. But this kept calling to me and I love it beyond belief. It heats the water quickly as I'm grinding the beans for my coffee and the water is the perfect temperature. A must buy!

Plastic Inside Pot
I really wanted to give this 5 stars because it works great, but as someone whose been trying to rid plastic out of their life I was a little disappointed to see this plastic inside the stainless steel reservoir. It's intended to secure the outer plastic handle, which is fine but I just wish they used more steel instead of having that plastic on the inside of it where the heat would likely make the plastic leech into the water. Would I buy this again? Definitely but there something left to be desired!

Excellent for my pour over coffee
This pot looks nice on your counter and is very easy to use. I use it everyday for my morning pour over coffee. The water gets to the temperature I need for optimal pour over. I have also purchased this pot as a gift for others. Bodum is an excellent brand. I have a Bodum tea kettle that is 10 years old and still operating fine.

Super fast!
Love this thing! I found out about it when it was in a hotel room instead of a traditional coffee maker so I took a photo to search for it online and ordered it. Heats up super fast. Perfect for coffee, hot cocoa or heating up quickly when cooking and needing boiling water.

Bodum 34 oz Bistro Gooseneck Electric Water Kettle. Works very well!
I was worried at first that the capacity was misleading. The max fill line is down about where the body starts to widen. Tested it and its actually a little over 34 fl oz! Very happy about that. The shape of the neck and spout make for a really smooth and consistent pour.It had a weird smell the first few times using it but that is typical of heating elements. Space heaters do it as well.My only complaints revolve around the lid. It holds into the kettle with metal tabs. Makes a grindy, screechy sound when taking off and back on. I worry that it will wear out and the lid will be loose. The knob on top is a little too short in my opinion. It can be easy to hit hot metal when taking the lid off just after heating water. I may change the knob to a taller wooded one. It would be an more of issue when heating up multiple pots of water rapidly. In my own personal use I don't need to do it more than once at a time because of the large capacity. Doesn't effect me but may be an issue for anyone who needs to chain pots of hot water. Not enough of a complaint to remove a star but worth noting.
