I thought the go pro is waterproof, so what is this case for? Go Pro 7 in white is the model I am inquiring about

For anyone that comes across this looking for an answer in the future...

The below reply is pretty accurate, there is no "time" though, at least not until it starts to corrode... It's simply waterproof, not water resistant! I know for a fact that at 90 minutes to 120 minutes there are zero problems at ranges between 80'-120', beyond that I can't say because I don't know the actual thickness and the exact fit to keep pressure from being an issue.
 The only issue at that point is the button, the pressure of the actual cameras button where it meets the seal of the case and at the above mentioned it has held up near 5/5 out of 1000s of reviews. The only reason nobody really knows beyond that much is because they surface at 90 minutes or less. If you plan on scuba and aren't going through multiple tanks at once at a depth that would at the very least leave you incredibly sick,if not blacked out underwear, then this will work just fine and for only $15? That's a steal...

By the way, if you want to look up a model number all you have to do is open the hatch and it starts with a letter followed numbers, usually you only need the first letter followed by the next two to three numbers. CHDHX-701 is the Hero 7 Black, but there's more than one GoPro 7 and yours would start with C331.
 Also, there are two different items being sold on this one page so the one that most people are referring to is the other one so you can't assume that every comment is about the same case.

To answer your question without telling you what you actually need to know so would simply be that the camera only goes 33 ft guaranteed and with the super suit housing it's then rated to 196 ft, so it's really rather practical... Google would have given a quick answer though.

I see that it is waterproof but I want to double check that it is dust proof as well and will keep out any dirt and dust?

Yes it should keep out dust.  I’ve had it in muddy conditions as well.

It’ll protect it from dying faster, but GoPro batteries in general don’t do well in the cold for long periods of time

No not at all however scratches if not properly handled can affect your images.. Must handle this product with extreme care it's plastic not glass..
