It weighs things!
As a pair of scales, it does what it says on the tin. I cannot attest to the absolute accuracy not having a set of certified ISO calibrated weights, however, they do appear to be accurate enough and consistent in their operation.I deliberately bought these ones as it does tenths of a gram in terms of measurement. Granted it is not going to be *that* accurate but I felt if it can measure/display tenths of a gram then it will be more accurate than one which can only display grams. I'm probably deluding myself but as I say it appears accurate enough and consistent. It has a maximum weight rating of 3kg which for the size of the thing is more than ample. One of the things I particularly like about this device (and again another reason for choosing it) was it utilises AAA batteries. To me those are much better and easier, to buy and obtain, than coin-cell batteries. I use AAA in lots of household devices (remotes, keyboards, calculators, clocks), not so much coin-cells. They also provide a set of AAAs with it and you do not need tools or to partially disassemble the device to fit them (unlike coin-cells). There's a flap, on the bottom, you slide open. The reason I took one star off, and it's a minor thing, is that it appears to have no auto-off function. Once switched on, it stays on. Perhaps the auto-off kicks in after an hour or more but I've seen myself forget to switch it off and go out for a walk with the dog only to find it still on. Clearly that won't help the battery life! However, really I should only deduct half-a-star as I say it's a minor niggle.

Wonderful compact digital scales
I have been using a traditional scales for ages but I feel the results are not that accurate. So I wanted to buy digital kitchen scales to replace it. I choice this one as it looked great and goes up to 3000g.I have been using for a few days now and very happy. It has a wide range of measurements, but I keep it on grams. To operate just pop in the enclosed 2 X AAA batteries and press the power button and away you go.It`s also so much smaller than my old one and it takes up hardly and storage space. The display is clear and bright, and says hello when you turn it on :)

Accurate scale, compact, easy to use and store
I ordered the scale from Amazon Sept 15 and it was delivered promptly on Prime. It was well packed and included the batteries. There are two polycarbonate trays included and I keep these on the scale when it is stored on the shelf to protect it from knocks. I bought the scale so I could accurately measure dried yeast for baking. Due to an allergy I can only tolerate small quantities of yeast. I bake bread twice a week and have devised a recipe using 2g yeast per 1Kg flour and my old kitchen scale was not able to give me the accuracy to one gram or less that I require. In the screen shot you can see I use a tumbler to hold the yeast and the 2g and a smaller 1.8 g is shown. I checked the scale against known weights and am satisfied that it is accurate. Although the platform is quite small with care I can place the bowl from my Kenwood Chef on the platform in such a way as I can see the readout and weigh out the 1Kg of flour. The display is very clear and easy to read and the tare function works well, allowing me to add ingredients and not lose track of the overall weight. I like the way it stores easily and takes up little room. So far, very pleased with this scale and can highly recommend it.

Best precise and accurate kitchen scale ever
It's a small scale, super precise and it comes with two plastic protectors (one for the whole scale and one for the scale surface).I needed something very precise and accurate but at the same time, I need to be able to weigh up to 3 kgs, so this is absolutely ideal. It's very easy to use, you can easily change the measurement units and tare the scale too.Easy to clean and to store away, it's so compact it would fit anywhere.

Totally unreliable!
Yesterday was the last time that unreliable “scale” has cost me needless time & worry; buying a new one today. This scale frequently freezes halfway through the measuring process; yesterday it froze at 6.6g out of 7g. Adding more pectin by tapping, by the time you’re certain the blasted scale will not jump back into life but has really frozen again, you may well have overshot by quite a bit. As it was over 25g of sugar (to be mixed together), the whole thing wasn’t funny. Putting it on the Salter was 32g, putting it back on this was 32.4g. My normal Salter could have done that. Irked enough to test this scale again, I measured 200g of sugar on it, thought that looked quite a lot - put it on the regular scale and it was 400g! Mamma Mia - you can’t have equipment like that! I might as well pour it into a bowl and say: “that looks about right” … same scientific accuracy! This scale has frozen on me several times - and got a larger measurement totally wrong twice now - end of patience. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

It is important to put the tray facing up and turn on the scale only after putting the tray in
I really like the display with large and easily readable numbers. The function of the different units of measurement is very convenient.Aesthetically it is very nice and small. It can weigh up to 3 kilograms with the possibility of removing the tare weight of the container.I mainly use it to weigh the ingredients of my cooking recipes but it can be used for many other items such as parcels and mail in general to calculate the shipping cost etc.The instructions for use are written very small and I had difficulty reading them but the use is actually very simple and intuitive and therefore you can start weighing with a few simple steps
