The Flowers of Evil: Les Fleurs du Mal

I ordered this book because I was at a friends house who had an old copy of this book. I’m not sure who did the translation on her book. But it was so beautiful and I was absolutely blown away. Never had I read such beautiful poetry. So I was very excited to order this. And it is almost unrecognizable just the worst translation ever. Please. Do not think this is Baudelaire. It is not. Makes me want to just learn French. I wish I had the name of the translation she had. It was a hardcover and looked pretty old. It was amazing. And this really really stinks. If you’re a Baudelaire fan you will be disappointed. Or even worse you’re not familiar with him and your reading it for the first time. I just looked it up and bought it.
