Good DVD Collection
I bought the Star Trek Voyager dvd collection as a gift to my bf because it’s one of his fav shows of all time. The plastic dvd case that carried all the dvds is very fragile so it could break and be a mess which did actually happen in my case. Luckily I reached out to the seller to tell them about the issue and they were able to help resolve it immediately! So I’m glad the seller was helpful and responsive. So far most of the dvds are working!

glad to have VOY
First, the physical DVD set. Just like with my sets of TNG and DS9, the packaging crams two disks on each peg. I’ll need to get a separate case to keep the disks protected from damage.Second, what’s on the DVDs. The description lists no bonus features but it has good ones the take you deep inside the creative process.Third, the show itself. I view it as the truest successor to TOS, right down to the shows’ inconsistency: when it’s good it’s amazing and genre-defining; when it’s bad it’s WTH-were-they-thinking terrible. Janeway is the most Kirk-like of the captains to that point (Burnham has all of Kirk and Janeway’s negative qualities without any of their positive ones), balanced well by Tuvok. The Kes-Neelix relationship is NOT okay and the show got better when it was over. B’Elanna and Tom have my favorite Trek romance of the franchise because they’re both so good for each other, providing a stability neither of them ever had. Tuvok and Seven have my favorite friendship of the franchise because of how quickly and completely they accept and respect each other personally and intellectually. One of the most beautiful moments in the show if not the franchise is in “The Raven” when he puts himself at risk to connect with her and shows such profound compassion for her trauma response. Instead of scorning her display of strong emotion, he tells her it’s logical to respond that way. The Doctor has a fascinating story arc and along with Jeri Ryan provide serious acting chops to VOY. The writers and Robert Beltran failed the character of Chakotay.I wish the show had done better with the new alien designs and ship designs (we’d have to wait for ENT for that to happen). But they sure stepped up with the Borg, showing a deeper and more nuanced perspective that enhanced rather than diminished the threat. And they did a great job with how scary and fascinating species 8472 is. I want more of that, and hopefully we’ll get it in Prodigy.

Not a bootleg
You may be wondering why I would begin by saying that. It's because I have encountered fakes before. Around 2010, I bought all 7 seasons of Voyager on DVD from a Goodwill store. I was more concerned with all the discs being present than whether or not they were legit. At the time, it never occurred to me that I might be buying fakes. But once I got them home, and I started examining the discs, and the wording on the covers, and yeah....they were straight up Chinesium bootlegs. Logos slightly off, plot summaries read like they were translated from English to Chinese, to Klingon, and back to English. And at least one of the discs was defective. Then, the whole set was lost several moves ago. However, THESE appear to be the genuine article....unless the Chinese bootleggers have seriously upped their game. Some other reviewers have complained about the packaging. Some discs being loose in the cases and whatnot. I'll have to add that some of the discs in MY set were loose as well, but none of them were scratched. I'm not really a big fan of these cases, but it IS an ingenious way of fitting 47 discs in less than 6 inches of space. Not that it matters to me, as I keep all my discs in big CD/DVD folders. So for me, the whole series takes up about half an inch. Anyway, that's not important. Some other concerns from other reviewers had to do with the 4:3 aspect ratio on a modern wider screen. It appears that the picture is slightly stretched out to fit the wider screen. BUT, when I adjust the settings on my TV to try to get the original 4:3 aspect ratio, there's not much difference. I get maybe a half inch black bar on the sides of the screen. For me, it's not that big of a deal to bother messing with the normal settings of my TV every time I want to watch some Voyager.Anyway, that's my 2 or 3 cents worth. As always, your mileage may vary.

Delta Quadrant Trek
The Voyager crew becomes lost in the remote Delta quadrant and take a long journey toward home (Earth). The first few seasons explore aliens and space unique to Delta quadrant. The next four seasons introduce the popular Borg clone Seven of Nine. It’s a good series although I think season five wasn’t so good. If you like Gilligan’s Island, you probably like this one too.

Awesome series
I love starting trek voyager. I'm 6 seasons through the entire series. No problems so far. I think I can count on one hand how many very brief pauses that have happened in the entire series I've watched so far. They didn't skip parts of the episodes either, I think it probably had something to do with my movie player probably. This is a great buy. I'm a customer from the US.

Stop streaming and start spinning.
I recently rediscovered Voyager on Paramount+, which is probably one of the worst ways to watch the series, as the episodes only stream in Dolby Digital 2.0 and have terribly distracting video interlacing issues. So I bought this set. The benefits: full Dolby Digital 5.1 plus clear and stable 480p video. And obviously discs come with the benefit of owning the content in perpetuity. Bonus supplements are nice too.If you're a fan of the show, don't think twice. This set is the way to go. One bit of advice: like all box sets of this size (47 discs!), the discs are stacked and are a little tricky to remove from their spindles. You'll want to get a storage wallet for easy access; they run $5 to $10 here on Amazon.
