I bought these for my son for his horseback riding lessons. Yes, I know they are ladies paddock boots. However, when we purchased his first pair at a tack shop, the associate suggested staying in the ladies line for as long as they are comfortable as the price savings from the women's to the men's is astounding.Even on Amazon, the ladies' paddock boots are significantly less expensive than the men's.I figured out his size using his current shoe size and a chart I found online. There is no size chart available for Dover Saddlery boots. They say they run true to your regular shoe size.When they arrived, he said they were comfortable and didn't feel like they needed to be broken in. He still likes them and they fit well. He also said he likes the zipper because it takes to long to make sure the laces are right in other styles.Although these are synthetic leather, the quality is good. You really wouldn't notice that it isn't real leather unless you got up extraordinarily close. They are also wearing nicely and not falling apart like other synthetic leather boots we have purchased in the past.

Just what I need starting out in English riding. So far they’ve held up well, and seem to be good quality. I wear a 7, and ordered an 7. The fit is perfect.

These are cute and durable. My daughter wears them for horseback lessons and they do everything she needs.

These boots lasts a long time. My son wears them around the stables in any weather. They clean easily. My picture is of his new boots (top) and old boots, same brand (below). The old ones still has life left in them, just a buy dirty and some parts of the leather finally showing wear after 2.5 years of use.
