New BalanceMen's 608v5 Cross Trainer

I got 18 plus months of daily wear out of these trainers. I work long shifts on my feet and these kept my feet pain free. I would have happily continued using them but the side split open and sadly they are no longer watertight. I am yet to find trainers that offer the same comfort for my feet. They are on the narrow side and I had to go up half a size.

Bought these for my 13 year old daughter for school. She saw a podiatrist recently and he said she must wear a running-style trainer with heal lift and with an orthotic, due to hypermobility and over-pronation. He suggested New Balance was a good brand for technical design and support and ruled out many other popular brands. I hunted high and low for a plain black leather pair so she can wear them for school (school policy states no trainers but this is medical so I tried to comply with at least the black leather and no logo policy). I sent the link to the podiatrist and he said they were a good design. She's very happy with them. They have a wide heel on the sole and at the ball of the foot so provide good stability. They don't come up too high at the ankle bone so they don't rub there, but still deep enough to fit around the heel even with an orthotic and provide good heel/ankle support. The insert is removable. Sensible length laces (not ridiculously long like you get with some trainers). Good value too. The other brand/pair the podiatrist recommended was over twice the price so another reason to be very pleased with these!

It's a great shoe that I have used working in kitchens before, unfortunately the latest v5 model is at least a size too small.

Nicely made shoe with that new car smell, they fit well with plenty of support and seem well made. They look respectable enough without being shouty about the brand. I usually take an 11 but NB seems to be 11.5 across their range and this is no different so good job they do half sizes.

Good value for money

I recently purchased the New Balance Men's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer, and I am absolutely in love with them! These shoes are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. very comfortable

These shoes are very comfortable especially if you have wide feet. The toe box is generous without the whole shoe being sloppy. The white does look a bit old school but the price and comfort make the same for me. I have bought these for years, since the 90s.

I have 4E wide feet and finding sneakers that fit can be difficult. These sneakers (in extra wide) fit perfectly!I like the black tongue and laces as dirt doesn’t show on that hard to clean area.Also like the rear pull tab to help me get my feet into the shoe.We walk about 4 miles a day and I have two pairs so I use one pair every other day. An orthopedic Doctor told me to do that, it gives the shoe a day to recover from the weight.Very comfortable and reasonably priced considering how expensive things are today!Will buy again.
