Glass Culture Jar and Rigid Air Tube Set - Mercer of Montana Home Phytoplankton Culture Supplies

This product stated it came with pods, water , tubing etc to culture your first culture of copepods. It only came with the jar which was so very small. Please be aware this jar is slightly bigger than a quart mason jar. disappointed and I bought 3 thinking I would have everything except the pump of course to start my pods.

The kit is well-packaged and comes with everything you need to get going. The glass is of nice quality. There's not a lot of fit and finish as you can see someone just stuck a drill bit through the lid as quickly as they could but did not take the time to clean up the work. Both cultures came in quickly, but as you can see in my picture the bubble rate is good but I have a lot of settlement. I followed the instructions they included. I went through rigorous sterilization of jars and equipment. My culture is now 5 days old and the algae are darker than the culture itself. I emailed mercer 4 days ago asking a few questions but never heard back. I would buy your starter cultures elsewhere and get a couple of nice jars. The OK-priced jars in the kit were the selling point for me, but the overall quality of the cultures I received left a lot to be desired.

The Product Description tells you it comes with Phytoplankton and F2 feed but this item DOES NOT come with that stuff. It's simple a jar and rigid tube. Rip off

Description is patently false. With the exception of a half gallon jar and one piece of tubing. Amazon should remove this product from their site. It isn't misleading, it is a blatant lie
