I can say this with confidence as someone who tried to learn the guitar but ended up with nothing to show for it. But it turns out there are instruments so simple that all you need to do is tap on them, and they produce pleasant sounds. It doesn’t even matter much in what order you play since the notes are arranged harmoniously.I’m talking about a steel tongue drum with petals. The instrument is made of high-quality metal and coated with a beautiful navy blue finish. Its 11 petals allow you to produce a variety of sounds. Keep in mind that its diameter is only six inches, so playing it with your hands might be a bit tricky. That’s why the manufacturer includes drumsticks in the set—and honestly, I find this very convenient. There’s also a songbook included, though I haven’t tried it yet. I plan to, and it seems like a nice addition. Kudos to the manufacturer for thinking of everything.These kinds of drums are often used in music therapy, yoga, hypnotherapy, or just for fun. I think this drum would also be great for kids since you don’t need any special skills to make it sound good. You simply pick it up and start playing.Probably the only downside I’d like to mention is that the stickers with note numbers on the petals started peeling off even before I began using the instrument. I also couldn’t help but notice that these stickers look exactly like the ones you find on furniture parts you buy on Amazon. Coincidence?Overall, I think this drum is a successful combination of quality, convenience, and affordability. If you’re looking for something to help you relax, reflect, or meditate, this drum is a great choice.

I bought it for my autistic daughter for her upcoming birthday. She enjoys instruments and music, I thought it would be perfect for that purpose. It was a bit smaller than I thought, but it was cute and perfect for a smaller child.

The size is large enough to use comfortably but small enough to still be portable. It's well tuned, easy to learn, and fun to play. My toddler banged her heart out and it was still peaceful. Love this pretty little drum

Pros: Its a really cute size! The color is very nice! The sound is fair, very pleasant. The drum sticks feel like a good weight.Cons: The note markings, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and i are all just shiny stickers and are coming off rather easily. I thought they may of been carved into the drum tongues but they aren't. These do not affect the sound or performance of the drum but if you lose them it can be hard to play any songs by accordance to the song book.

Child’s gift, but, substituted one piece silicone honey dippers for the two piece mallets and scribed the numbers on with my etching pen. The sicker numbers came off easily. Mostly, the adults had to test it out. I probably should have bought one for everyone. Best gift ever and pleasant sounds. Easy for parents to listen to and pretty enough to leave out. Accessories are choking hazard. Not meant for small children.

The sound is lovely, and both toddler and adult love playing it. The size is perfect for a toddler as well, and its heavy and sturdy so its difficult to damage when dropped. Because of its weight it can definitely hurt some toes if dropped from a decent height, but I just keep ours low to the ground.My only complaint is that the mallets could be improved - they're just stained dowel rods and glued on rubber ends - they make a nice sound, but definitely a choking hazard and does seem like they would stand up to significant use.
