Superb Value Megaspeaker.
Pair this up with Amazon Music Unlimited Family plan, and for £149 a year you get up to SIX seperate accounts, all capable of simultaneous streaming on six different devices. At £25 per account per year, it's great value for larger families Even better, get two Studios, and the stereo sound that comes out is absolutely, staggering good. My next addition will be to buy an Echo sub to go with the Studio pair. It's not that the bass is really lacking in any way, I'm just being indulgent! Can't recommend the Studio enough. It's nothing like the other Echo speakers, being more like a Sonos or Bose in terms of music quality For the money, it's better value than a Sonos or Bose, and it also obviously offers the Alexa facility, so you can turn your house into a smart house. Just buy some smart plugs, bulbs & devices, and off you go. Buy one - preferably, buy two - and team it with Amazon Music Unlimited for 30 days. If your not impressed, you can send it back within 30 days. It's a risk free trial, and you'll be blown away and not sending it back!! It's an absolute bargain, and Amazon very rarely drop the price in the same way as they do with other Echo products - they don't need to, even at approaching £200, it's the best value Echo speaker Amazon offer. And it's heavy & big! Edit 4 Aug 2022 - I did buy the Sub, and although it does make a difference, it's not a huge improvement, unless you take your music very seriously, or listen to primarily music that would benefit from a big arsed base speaker. But the difference in having 2 Studio's is BIG, and I'd 100% recommend you invest in a pair of Studios. It's not just the quality of the music that's improved, it's the volume and stereo effect, which is excellent. Really fills a room.

Buggy but brilliant
My set-up: A projector using a 4K Firestick connected by the home theatre setup to Amazon Studio. I also use it extensively for music. Positives: The sound. I have had all of the echo devices over the years and this isn't even in the same lineup in terms of sound quality. For music its gorgeous, full and encompassing. Great sound quality. For movies the dolby atmos is just simply stunning. I watched an episode of Witcher and the experience was an absolute revelation. Its hard to describe just how different and better it is than the already very decent Bose Soundbar I have. Connection to the home theatre is easy, and of course you have all of the usual alexa echo benefits. On this basis I would buy it again on its own - indeed I'll be getting an additional one for another room this year. Negatives: If you haven't read the positives then do so - it may seem like I don't like the product when I do. Working on its own the 4K Firestick never misses a beat and is for all intents and purposes a perfect product. Working on its own so is the Amazon Studio. Brilliant. Putting them together however severely degrades the experience of both products for a number of reasons: 1) There is no separate volume control for music and home cinema. They also have pretty different levels. That means you are turning the music up and down when switching between uses(although not by a lot). 2) It's very very buggy, especially when using Dolby Atmos. You get freezes of the firestick which need resetting probably once every 2 - 4 hours. Irritating. 3) You get freezes of the Studio so no sound comes out. As the setting choices are low this means you end up resetting one or both of the devices to get it back working again. I've found a bit of a workaround but its still not good. Again that happens every 2 - 4 hours in addition to the firestick freezes. Very irritating. 4) The sound drops every 30 minutes to an hour in Dolby Atmos for a couple of seconds before picking up again. Mildly irritating. It feels to me like the effort being made on the software linking the fire stick with the studio is not enough. It needs quite a bit of bug fixing. When that happens however its going to be my top product of the year because even with all those problems its one hell of a product at a price point less than half of comparable Dolby Atmos soundbars that are Alexa enabled.

The sound quality is fantastic
I paid £198 for this speaker. It might sound expensive but it’s well worth it. The sound is fantastic as good as my very expensive technics music system which is complicated to tune and I might add troublesome. This Alexa is easy to set up. Easy to operate and so easy to connect to any radio station. It comes into its own when I connect Spotify no messy connection unlike the music system. Not sure how old the unit is as it was purchased as refurbished. So the only downside I don’t actually know how old it is thus I’m unsure of the longevity of the unit. However I have 4 other standard Alex’s which I’ve had for many years without any issues so I suppose I’ve not much to worry about so I should just get on and listen to the excellent music it generates. Highly recommended

Great sound
This is a nice looking, solidly built unit which I have in my kitchen where the 360 speaker sound really shines through. Excellent bass sound and no issues with Alexa responding. One thing to be aware is that not all songs have the full 360 sound effect, have this unit in the centre of a room and it will easily fill that room with sound but sometimes you will hear a song which appears to be coming from several locations around the unit which is clever but like I say not all song are recorded that way. I was hesitant at first as it is a decent chunk on money but I would say it is well worth it.

Quality speaker at a good price.
Got this as an Amazon return for £108.00. - it had no marks or flaws that I could see. The sound is really good and fills the room - you can adjust the Bass, Mid range and Treble in the Alexa App. The voice recognition software is also a lot better than the old echoes which sometimes wouldn't respond if you had the music on loud., this Studio has only done that a couple of times so far and I've had it about 3 months. So far so good really pleased with it - especially for the price (their over £200 for a new one)

Great potential let down by software
Short version: It can sound great at times but it only sounds consistently great with Amazon Music "360" songs. Other songs seem to get "intelligently tuned" to sound worse than they do on speakers less than half the price of this one; this happens occasionally on Amazon Music (same song can sound different) or permanently with Spotify Long version: The speaker apparently does some "intelligent" audio tuning to calibrate to the acoustics of the room it's in, which sounds great in theory, but severely underperforms in most cases. By default, it sounds pretty great with amazon's selection of "360" songs (which Alexa prompts you to try upon setup), but other songs can be hit or miss. The speaker has a toggle for "stereo spatial enhancement" which is on by default but i found on certain songs can make the Studio sound cheap and tiny, not as bad as the airplane earbuds you can get, but the same sort of hollow tin like sound. Here's where i think the "intelligent" audio tuning comes into play. Not only do some songs sound better with the toggle on, while others sound noticeably worse, but the SAME track can sound different between playthroughs regardless of the toggle position. If you like to use Spotify, this speaker is not for you. While the Spotify app actually works with the Studio much better than the Amazon Music app, the Studio absolutely crushes the song quality with a very muddy sound or a very hollow one depending on the track. I have yet managed to get this speaker to produce a pleasing Spotify track regardless of how much I fiddled with the Alexa app settings. I've got a few echo devices and at times the Studio sounds almost as bad and mush-y as the 3rd gen Dot. I've also got two 1st generation Echo Plus speakers and they trounce the Studio on anything that is not an Amazon Music ULTRA HD 360 track, regardless if i set them up as a stereo pair (which is pretty great to be fair) or stand-alone. The only aspect where the Studio wins in this comparison is the heftier bass, but the rest of the song sounds bad enough that i would rather stick with the clarity of the Echo Plus. Considering how cheap those Echo Plus devices are nowadays on resale sites, I would argue they are a much better buy due to their consistent performance and significantly better value than the Echo Studio On the other had. to reiterate, the Studio does sound distinctly better with those 360 tracks but again the software gets in the way. If i ask Alexa to play a specific song, it doen't seem like it chooses the high quality one. I've repeatedly had to go into the app disconnect the Studio and reconnect (even though i wasn't connected to it in the first place) to force it to restart the song and play the high quality version. Similarly, despite having the latest version of the Amazon Music and Alexa apps on both Android and iOS, they are both frustratingly slow and filled with bugs and glitches. Shockingly Spotify is constantly quicker to connect and start playing songs, as well as able to more consistently find all the Echo speakers and speaker groups I have, than the amazon app
