After unpacking this fireplace I was all but impressed and whiIe browsing Amazon site I see the same fireplace by the same seller for $120.00 cheaper four days after I purchased it for $400.00 I almost pasted out fortunately the seller showed some good will and refunded me $120.00 of the $400 I spent on the fireplace. I fired the fireplace up today for the first time and was quite impressed with the way the fire danced, the flames can get a bit high at times shooting up just over the edge of the glass wall so, be very careful where you set the fireplace up. Also after about an hour or so of burning the fireplace it started to give off a odor I'm not sure if it was the metal heating up or if it was fumes anyway I opened a couple of windows just to be on the safe side. Overall I'd recommend to buy this fireplace at the sale price which at the moment is $280 which is what I feel its worth (cuz at $400 I was about to request a return authorization.) And don't think you'll be able to set it up on the floor cuz it looks really silly on the floor it's too small for that but, on a counter it's cool. I have mine on my kitchen peninsular and it shows great there. I got about three hours burn time on half a quart of fuel.Update: I've had this fireplace for about two weeks now and I gotta tell these flames make me feel a lot uneasy for the most part the fireplace seems to burn with a controlled flame but every so thenthere is a burst of flames that looks as though the house is about to go up...As a result I'm questioning the safety of this fireplace.
