IM Corona Old Boy Chromium Lighter

I smoke cigars and cigarettes for many years and have all kinds of lighters such as zippos, colibris, st dupont, xikar, and porshe design. I read about corona lighters on a cigar forum and checked them out on amazon. I liked the classic cool retro look of the old boy and even though described as a pipe lighter you can obviously use it for all smoking. It's nice to have a lighter that is heavy, well made and lights first time all the time. It was shipped very fast and was the cheapest price anywhere.

Always wanted a Dunhill lighter. Found this and debated buying it as it appeared to be a knockoff. Read the reviews and took a chance. Absolutely gorgeous and extremely well-built. I wouldn’t settle for a Dunhill now with what they cost. This is a much better lighter.

Nice lighter! Crome too. I just admire the flint mechanism on this. Compared to the other electric fire ignition systems, the Flintstones ignight the fire, similar to zippy lighters, but this one uses butane instead of fluid.this allows the ignightion system to last much longer than the electronic type.tamper is a really nice luxury that I will be using for my pipes.I can light my tobacco pipes,cigarettes, and pot pipes with this for along time. I just see this versatile lighter as long lasting, and pleasant on the eyes.

The Corona Old Boy lights every time, but as I roll the thumb wheel to the left, with my right thumb, (I'm right handed) the flame shoots out and away to the right, requiring a rotation of the lighter in hand, to the left and down, in order to bring the flame to the bowl. That works out fine indoors, but outdoors it leaves the flame unprotected from any gentle gust that blows along, extinguishing the flame.I'm trying to get the hang of lighting the Old Boy with the striking wheel to the posterior, flipping the lid up and to the right with my thumb and pulling back on the flint wheel with my right forefinger, but the lighter tends to roll in my grip between my middle and ring fingers and my palm, until I tuck the tamper side end of the lighter into the web between those two fingers.I've never had dexterity issues with a lighter before, but I think I can roll with it with a little more practice.

I haven't started using it yet. But I will leave it better review on it after I use it for a while. This remind me of the old lighter's how they lasted a long time. That's how this feels. lites amazing.

This is a great lighter. I have a Dunhill lighter and it leaks . This lighter is beautiful and it works every time . Has a perfect flame . Comes with a tamper that is at the bottom of the lighter. Quality lighter. Top of the line . I have been a pipe smoker for over 30 yrs and The Ole boy IM Corona is my go to lighter. Worth every dime to own this beautiful lighter. They have a two year warranty also . Don't miss your chance to have a beautiful elegant durable high quality lighter.

The best lighter there is. Classic and will continue to work for years and years. I used mine for pipe smoking which means 20-50 lights per day for 5 years before I lost it. I promptly purchased another. Spend extra to get the cleanest fuel you can (not Ronson or zippo brand). And ONLY use Corona’s flints. Zippo flints will fit, but they are too hard and will eventually smoothen the cuts in the flint strike wheel. There are companies that will actually service these so you could conceivably pass this down to your kids/grandkids in perfectly usable condition.

This is my first IM Corona old boy. I have another IM Corona I have had over 6 years, both every well made. The old boy feels good in your hand, strikes every time. I really like this lighter. Great fit and finish. As always Amazon with GREAT shipping right on time. Thank you
